Oh, I wasn't very specific what I was referring to is selling stuff online, like private store selling pdfs or royalty free music and stuff, cause the only two platforms that I know of are paypal and stripe

It is already law in the UK, they are just waiting for the right moment to activate it.

Maybe this move by the EU will embolden other countries to follow suite. the best thing to do is to move to a corner of the internet they can't control. like Tor , I2P and similar projects

Considering the community behind uBlock origin has no financial incentive, why are they still developing for chrome and manifest v3 while google keeps pulling off anti consumer and anti-adblock tactics, shouldn't they just drop chrome and orient people to use firefox or one of its derivatives.

This content has been moving from free accessible internet into the walled gardens of social media. we did it ourselves. blogs and forums disappeared, copycat farms and SEO made it so maintaining blog or a community forum a waste of time, everyone is just tiktoking and looking to monetise every bit of content they put on the internet.

Cheap and working smartwatches for 25$ already exists, they are flooding the markets of developing countries and they are of a OK quality for a smartwatch, they mostly originate from Shenzhen China, problem is there are no software engineers to hack these smartwatches and pair them with open source software instead of chinese spyware smartphone apps.

I've got myself one of these watches hoping I can learn to program something for it, After extracting the facecwatches I found out those were binary files, After many hours searching the internet for help or people who might have already hacked them. I've given up because I knew that even If I start learning assembly, there is no guarantee that I can build my own watch faces using that knowledge, it's a shame cause Chinese gadget are a treasure trove for hackers and people looking for good deals.

Tried it, doesn't work with these smartwatches, they are shipped with proprietary OS and proprietary OEM apps, the Face-watches are also proprietary formats.

Content creators won't follow because there isn't any monetary incentive to do so. I have been regularly checking out Peertube for 4 years now and it is mostly a backup option for those that one day YouTube might delete their channel.

Try Freetube.

it will download the youtube page and remove trackers and telemetry. but google can still correlate traffic from ip to other identities of yours, I am not sure if by using invidious whereby you download the webpage from the instance and the video feed directly from youtube ( if you are not using proxy option in invidious) is more private than using Freetube and NewPipe which download both the feeds from youtube. only someone from google can tell if they track connexions to youtube "video servers".

Hi, I liked using Lemm.ee and the way you managed that instance. but cloudflare is a pain in the butt for everyone using VPNs or Tor, and I also understand the struggle of keeping an instance safe from trolls posting illegal stuff. anyways it seems this is the trend most websites are adopting these days, so I will have to make do with what works for now.
