It got stuck trying to load, can someone share a direct image embed?

Oh, well then you're using the wrong words to describe things. What you mean is, you're not interested in extremist politics. It doesn't sound like you have a problem with moderate politics.

Here's an example of some moderate politics: I want to watch the new season of Star Trek Prodigy with my partner, but my partner wants to run a load test on its CPU to check for problems. Turns out my partner can't be in a voice chat while running the load test, I won't be able to hear it. So I told it that it should finish its load test and message me when it's ready to watch TV. That's politics. A group of people had to make a decision, and we did. I made the decision and my partner accepted it, because my partner trusts me with political power and I place importance on my partner's needs.

(Also my partner does not yet know there is a new season of Prodigy. I'm planning to surprise it!)

I grew up communist in a conservative family and I resolved the issue by having more patience and skill for debate than my parents.

Also try pulling out the "this is why I don't love you" on a reactionary parent. It cuts really deep 😂

MindTraveller ,

Good idea, if we trick half the Trump voters into voting for him, Trump and this guy will both only get 25% of the vote, and Biden will win easily

MindTraveller ,

Trump audibly pooped his pants while answering a question

MindTraveller ,

You can't handle it because you're used to sitting in your car. This is healthier

MindTraveller ,

Yeah!

MindTraveller ,

If Everett True were still running, there'd be one where he beats someone up for quoting ChatGPT

MindTraveller ,

If I could draw, I'd start the comic Outbursts of Evelyn True. She's Everett's granddaughter, and her very first appearance has her beat up grandad for deadnaming her. The comic would cover modern day annoyances in exactly the same way the old one covered the annoyances of that time. It would also be woke AF

MindTraveller ,

How do you know cats don't experience sonder? Did you ask one? No, you just assumed

MindTraveller ,

I really wish alpha gal allergy was more prevalent.

MindTraveller ,

Post: animals have emotions

Comment: we shouldn't kill things with emotions

I dunno seems pretty related. And when we're feeling a lot of empathy for animals is probably the best time to think about these issues

MindTraveller ,

Cows are deathly allergic to knives

MindTraveller ,

I always struggle with believing thin people as a convincing love interest. I understand that's what most people like but I still can't relate to it.

EDIT: looked up some pictures, she's big enough to be a halfway convincing love interest

MindTraveller ,

Based on the comments in this thread, it seems like the show is making the other women look unappealing on purpose.

MindTraveller ,

I can confirm this is true. I'm not into women and I love big boobs.

MindTraveller ,

The original is a boomer humour comic complaining about PM10 pollution from cars and all the allergies it gives kids. The message of the comic is that we should invest in public transit and walkability to reduce car pollution.

MindTraveller ,

Yeah, exactly. Babies are too young for gender. It's child abuse to call any baby a boy or a girl. Gender starts developing in the brain at 2-3 years of age.

MindTraveller ,

A gendered name, yes.

MindTraveller ,

Fuck that guy. He permanently ruined multiple kids' save files because life happened and they were too small to jump through his hoops. A child who is panicking because you yelled at them isn't going to do a good job at the spelling game where you have to get the punctuation exactly correct.

MindTraveller ,

He runs the rescue service after being fired from the reset service

MindTraveller ,

He got disqualified on purpose in order to make a point

MindTraveller ,

If funding an alcohol problem is necessary in order to fund a life, then I want to fund an alcohol problem.

MindTraveller ,

Having no food would destroy it a little faster, methinks

MindTraveller ,

Money keeps. Food doesn't.

MindTraveller ,

Unlike you, I feel no need to control homeless people. All I want to give them is the choice to do better. I'm not interested in forcing anyone into anything. Just making it easier to do what they want. I find that nearly everyone in the world wants to do good, to be good. They just don't get enough help.

MindTraveller ,

They're going to self-destruct as long as they live, unless they're given the help needed to defeat their addiction. We can't expect the problem to get better by denying them kindness. The biggest chance they'll shake the addiction is if they get their life back together using the money they beg.

MindTraveller ,

I think the best solution is a healthy balance of kindergartens and child labour factories.

Extremes always tend to be dangerous.

MindTraveller ,

I know you disagree with me, but your joke was so good I had to upvote

MindTraveller ,

So what's it called when the government is a handful of private individuals, as opposed to representing the public?

MindTraveller ,

Normal stories float around with their handles at average goblin height, until a goblin decides to grab on. Then they go up. The goblins at the bottom are people who fell off the sky islands

MindTraveller ,

Rick and Morty fired Justin Roiland and got two new voice actors to play Rick and Morty. Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden. They're great, they voiced season 7 and it's the best season of Rick and Morty yet.

MindTraveller ,

I'm a theophile

MindTraveller ,

Allah is actually an offensive word to other gods. You see, in Arabic, "ilah" is the word for a god. While "al" means "the one and only". So Al-ilah, or Allah, is a term for a god that explicitly denies the existence of other gods. As a theophile, I believe all gods are beautiful, and refuse to stand for an insult against 99% of the gods.

MindTraveller ,

Don't look up

MindTraveller ,

Actually they say that Comet Dibiasky is twice the size of the dinosaur killer, but they also say it's 6-1
9 kilometres wide. 10 kilometres is the size of Chicxulub. Scientifically it was very inaccurate. But politically it's flawless.

MindTraveller ,

I didn't read it. The Register has a drier tone than I felt like reading today. I mean seriously, putting the word tabletop in quotes? I am NOT the target audience for that writing style.

MindTraveller ,

Stonehenge wasn't harmed. The pigment is water soluble, it washes off with the rain. No chemical damage.

MindTraveller ,

We should ride bicycles and public transit, and the government should be investing in rail and walkability for us

MindTraveller ,

That's great advice for an american, but do you have any for australians like me?

MindTraveller ,

I'm a psychopath and I don't use Twitter. I have PTSD. Also you shouldn't call mentally ill people psychopaths, it's considered offensive. You should say mentally ill person in the same language you're speaking, in this case English. And maybe stop saying mentally ill people are rich. We're not rich.

MindTraveller OP ,

Actually, the Stalinists are the ones saying not to vote for Biden.

MindTraveller OP ,

Really, that's very interesting. I didn't know marxist-leninists did any communist revolutions. I thought they only did socialist revolutions, and then expected the state to magically wither away over time. Of course, as you and I both know, Marx defined communism as stateless, so socialism with a state is not communism, and a revolution that doesn't immediately dismantle the state isn't a revolution producing communism. Could you give me any historical examples of marxist-leninists doing communist revolutions? Because honestly I thought only anarchists had ever done a real communist revolution.
