I'm not so sure about the "it'll be good" part. I'd like to imagine a world where people don't have to work because everything is done by robots but in reality you'll have some companies that will make trillions while everyone else will go hungry and become poor and homeless.

Its funny and sad to me how much you decide to assume on my position, without first asking some questions or trying to understand. Whats also funny is my comment history exists where you can see some of the rational I have behind this position. Both Republicans and democrats and no matter the president has been bad abroad for others. We should not vote Biden to set a precedence and get some of our voting power back. If you vote red/blue no matter what then your vote or voice doesn't matter.

The "pressure" is only as far as to show people he's doing something and politically posture. Real pressure would be to actually do things. Like not send them weapons, sanctions, etc.

Sounds interesting! I saw some other guy post about how you guys wouldn't pick pro ukrainian content over pro russian and I think that's the right thing to do. I always found it "interesting" that youtube will always promote the legacy media (in my eyes akin to propaganda) whenever you search for news or current events. Look forward to seeing where this goes and i hope you have an open policy about decisions in the search engine about what you promote vs demote. Who knows what else the other engines are promoting when people search to skew their views.

People hating on linus but I'd say he's honestly done videos to help linux be in the light. Like it or not linux still has its pain points. More importantly if you want linux to have wide adoption then you'll need for manufacturers to ship them on devices and have them in store.

The allegations are allegations. Its not against him personally but at some of his employees and they hired an independent investigator to investigate the issue. People had issue with perhaps certain things being crunchy and he walked that back and they're on a more laid back schedule now.

I'm sorry but once again, an investigation needs to happen with evidence for those claims. If true then the people involved should face repercussions.

Should we believe people just because they claim so? Anyone who makes a claim that something happened to them or someone did X needs to provide evidence. Otherwise anyone can just say anything about anyone.

Colin's statements should be taken into consideration. Maxine liking a tweet isn't evidence. We need a investigation that takes context into account and not just one person's claims. I'm not saying she's lying or she's truthful. but rather saying that the proper procedure should be taken. And if involved parties are found to have done what she claims then action should be taken against them
