I'd put the blame on the branding, full self drive shluld mean full self drive, not most-conditions self drive without explicitly providing the limitations.
Even irplane autopilot systems, which solve a simpler problem, have explicit limitations stated

I feel like "threat model" can distance people away from privacy communities, i.e. thinking you need a threat to get privacy.
I certainly avoid using it because of that opinion. I wish there was a more approachable non-security term for it, like "data priority" or something like that.

Again, just my opinion and how I react to hearing "threat model" (as a privacy advocate myself).

I find DDG not great at finding what I need, where Kagi returns less results but they are more relevant.

There's also AI features that can be integrated with the search results which helps.

There's some tradeoff here, keep garbage out and relevant results in. Definitely want to stay connected with others and share knowledge (such as websites that provide quality info)

Not saying you're wrong, want to share my perspective:
I agree with the AI, the quick answer saves me a ton of time by adding source links where I always click on to verify the answer (quicker than going through search results when I don't know the terminology).

As to the browser - not really sure why they're pushing for their own, isn't FF good enough?

To me 100$/y seems a little much compared to Proton Unlimited and the amount of features there.
Perhaps it's like that due to their size and AI features

I do 20-30 searches a day at work, so I definitely need to upgrade (annually it's around 100$ so not bad at all).

I know a few large supermarkets in yhe us that have this that have disabled the weighing and improved over time. Also having one employee for 8 machines doesn't sound like a failure
