this was the perfect opportunity to integrate it with search like bard and ms copilot... but no, they will just offer them just like that, with hallucinations and all. claude 1.2 instant and gpt 3.5 turbo are not even that good

they could've made it optional, then if someone wanted to, they could opt in. there are also open source models like llama and mistral which they can run on their own hardware. but that would probably be too expensive for DDG

I'm pretty sure the bots on DDG don't have internet access, just try asking a question about anything that happened very recently (e.g. last week) and they won't be able to answer.

but the difference between DDG and startpage is that DDG allows connections through Tor and VPN, while startpage doesn't. isn't it suspicious ?

if you search "Free VPN" on playstore, turboVPN is ranked higher than proton

Edit: and I see its reviews are also negative, probably because of the connection issues (I've been having the issue too, takes a long time to connect if it even does

I played this game and I don't understand it, what is the point ? honestly the performance of the narrator was amazing and was my favourite part of the game but otherwise I don't understand what the "message" is.

and like, who is stanley ? who is the narrator ? how come stanley can hear narrator's voice ? if stanley is in a game and we are playing that game, then narrator should be in the game too, somehow he is in the game and not in the game at the same time ??

oh I didn't mean that I didn't enjoy it, I enjoyed it quite a lot it was a fun game and definitely worth playing. it's just that I felt like the game was trying to tell me something but I couldn't understand what. but I guess you're right

may I ask why didn't you just switch to qbittorrent? is there a feature that utorrent has but qbit doesn't?

X automatically changed 'Twitter' to 'X' in domain names, breaking legit URLs (mashable.com)

On Monday, it appears X attempted to encourage users to cease referring to it as Twitter and instead adopt the name X. Some users began noticing that posts viewed via X for iOS were changing any references of "Twitter.com" to "X.com" automatically....

asking it its name is not a reliable way to determine which model it is, gpt 4 still thinks it's gpt3 (the reason it answers correctly on openai website is because they tell it that in the system prompt)

What non-FOSS software have you been unable to quit?

For me, Google video search, Google books (Internet Archive is good, but doesn't always have the same stuff), Adobe InDesign (but in the process of learning LaTeX), and Typewise.
