Fractions are just funky when dividing. Dividing by 0.5 is the same multiplying by 2.

Your analogy is really close, but backwards is all. If you have a quarter of an apple. In order to get half a whole apple, you need another quarter. Two quarters make a half, so dividing a quarter by 0.5 gives you 2 quarters. Dividing a quarter by 2 gives you 0.5 of the original quarter which is your 1/8th

I'm in a similar boat, but I never feel fully satisfied to release a song (probably cuz I am a hobbyist and I suck lol).

But regardless, I think there is an element of selling your soul to Hollywood to really make it big, and I just don't have that kind of commitment at this point in my life. I like relaxing and anonymity.

I agree with this. Pixel A series are pretty much the smoothest android experience for cheap. Plus they have a pretty good camera as a bonus. The low end Chinese phones and even the Samsung A series just don't quite do it for me. I think OneUI was made for faster hardware.

Keep in mind most of them are barely different from each other. It's mostly a regional thing with laws, but a lot of them will recycle the panels or SoCs.

HDR and anti-cheats are the main reasons I can't fully switch over. I am niche and particular about things so I do think I'd enjoy Linux if it weren't for the games I play. I have an OLED display and too many hours in Valorant. It's like I accidentally upgraded out of Linux.

Yup! Been telling people this for years. Similarly, you hate your own voice in recordings because you're used to how there are bassy undertones that bounce in your head and get added on top of your voice. You can amplify your hearing of the bassier/muffled voice by just covering your ears and speaking.

Which means the trick for making your voice sound better in recordings is to just give it a touch of low end.

    MacOS is really the only one I never understood unless you're really tied to the Apple ecosystem.

    I'd argue the "just use Linux" meme is more relevant for Mac users than Windows.

    I want to love Linux as well, but it does require some troubleshooting skills I'm too lazy for these days
    Additionally, some of my games require anti-cheats that just don't work on Linux.

    But that's the whole point? U can be OP if you want, or set yourself up for the freedom to choose a challenge. That in my mind is true open world and I've never seen any other game that's done it to the same degree.

    It's a great product, just not well managed by a trustworthy company. I worked at target back in the day when the Quest 2 was around and I got one brand new for about $220 after employee discounts and gift card offers.

    It's a shame to see it change over time, but damn is the price accessible compared to $800+ headsets at the time. You gotta admit it really lowered the bar for entry for VR seeing how it's now also 40% of SteamVR users.

    Not just porn, but 3D videos in general are stereoscopic videos where it's side by side. They look like this. Without something proper to split the video across your eyes, you just see this 2D video floating in space rather than get the full 3D experience.
