It'd be one thing if Biden was listening to the base, but he does all this in spite of the dems, not because of them.

Despite what the republicans say, Biden is not swayed by money (hence why Obama had to pay for his son's medical procedures) or what anyone tells him, he always does what he knows is right. Unfortunately he has the kind of moral compass that tells you to oppose desegregation and write 100:1 laws.

Are toll roads less of a scam than free roads though? At least toll road construction and maintenance is funded by drivers.

It's a regressive tax, but so are state taxes.

Oh yeah, when it's privatized. Here the only former toll road was owned by the county. They removed the toll once the road paid for its construction.

The people targeted are the politicians and anyone who helps them maintain the delusion they can win without muslim voters or the left. Saying "Biden need to end the genocide to win the election" is not an attempt to stop Biden from winning the election. Saying "Facilitating genocide, restarting student loan payments, building the wall were all unforced errors that hurt his chances" are not attempts to stop Biden from winning the election.

The only people stopping Biden from winning the election are Biden, the DNC, and everyone claiming they can win without at least repairing the damage he has done RE Israel and student loan repayments.

I'm sure the chinese have equivalent memes about having to learn arabic numbers, at least you don't have to use it in written out numbers, 20 is 二十, two-ten, 200 is 二百, two-hundred, 2000 is 二千, two-thousand, 200,000 is 二十万, two-hundred-thousand.

There less memorizing irregular words like twelve and X-teen and converting 30 to thirty, since it's all pronounced as written.

No, but whenever you have something that's countable (even if it's just 1), you have to do <number> <measure word> <thing>, so instead of "I have a ticket" or "we want 2 waters", you have to do "I have 1 <measure word for flat things> ticket" or "I(plural) want 2 <measure word for cups> water".

There's a generic measure word, but I think it's seen as improper to use it.

Sure, but they're often different enough to to be obvious in context, or similar enough to have a shared etymology.

Tones came later in Chinese, so when you have 2 homophones with similar meaning and different tones, they're usually from words that had 2 suffixes, which were later dropped, but the tone of first part remained, 买 and 卖 didn't end up with the same word by coincidence.

The only case the death penalty seems socially useful is when it's used for major white-collar crimes (eg, faking emissions, reducing testing for asbestos in talc products, reducing testing for listeria in baby formula, mass predatory lending resulting in millions of foreclosures, knowingly lying to promote war), since very few murders are doing cost-benefit analysis of murder, whereas these guys absolutely do consider potential consequences.

If I was Biden and I wanted to make sure absolutely nobody under 35 voted for me, first thing I'd do is genocide.

If that didn't work, then I'd restart student loans.

If that didn't work, I'd ban Tiktok.

Edit: To the people downvoting me: Do you think giving Israel the bombs they use to carry out genocide, restarting student loans, and banning tiktok helps Biden's reelection chances?

Are you republicans who don't want him to change course? Are you democrats perpetually stuck in 2016, blaming voters rather than asking "What policies caused us to lose? What changes do we need to make to win?"

The platform is already pretty censored, mentions of Palestine get fucked by the algo, I barely even see it from people I follow if I don't look up their past videos.

But I could imagine that's the impetus for congress, Trump tried the same thing after Tiktok was used to organize ~a million people RSVPing free tickets to a trump rally, resulting in him doing his shtick infront of like 100 people in a stadium. He only stopped after a major donor asked him not to, and it was very unpopular. Now dems are in Trumps position after hearing the kids are using Tiktok to organize against them, of course they'd make the same calculation and try to ban it.

Pressure Biden to do the things he needs to do to get elected. Voters are gonna do what they're gonna do. You cannot shame millions of voters into taking an unpaid day off to vote for someone who has told them through his actions that he does not and will not represent them.

Trying to silence such analysis just helps the DNC maintain the delusion that they can win while standing up to the very voters they need instead of doing what they are telling the democrats to do.

Nobody is saying the captain needs to be replaced, we're saying stop sailing directly towards those fucking rocks. No matter how hard we paddle, Biden cannot win the muslim votes he needs if he is facilitating genocide of muslims. The chinese market has a different version of Tiktok, Douyin. Tiktok being American owned wouldn't give Chinese data. It would give America data of all other countries though, ~85% of Tiktok's userbase, unless ByteDance only spun off American Tiktok.

Well liberals don't hate the Clintons, and the left hates them for passing racist laws and supporting the prison industrial complex, bombing Yugoslavia and Libya (and sharing responsibility with Obama for all the countries the US bombed during the early 2010s, and the 2009 Honduras coup), 90s sanctions on Iraq, estimated to have resulted in a million excess deaths, mostly of children, bombing a Sudanese pharmaceutical factory, there's a lot more, I mean he was president during the 90s and she was secretary of state under Obama, there's so much ghoulish shit they're proud of.
