Honestly even your average tech bro isn't doing as well as they "should" be. Mass layoffs and unreal churn in the tech industry mean that while tech bros are perhaps less affected by inflation than your "average joe" in some other sector, its still the ceos and that lot who are winning.

Gender is a very personal thing. You don't get to tell someone they're trans - some nonbinary folks do not consider their identity to be a transgender identity and that's entirely valid. You can dive as deep as you want into the technicalities of the transgender umbrella, but at the end of the day these are words we are using to describe ourselves and if "myself" does not align with "transgender" then anyone insisting that it does align is misguided at best.

Aaaaaaalllssso you can fuck around with gender within your AGAB and not consider yourself non binary. Femboys are valid and many are cis. There's probably some transmasculine femboys out there!

It takes all of a few seconds for your actual mathematical processing to kick in and you go "oh yeah duh" but its just a funky little string of numbers.

It lives in the same camp as how none of the >3 whole multiples of 17 feel like multiples of 17. 68? Preposterous.

I think the meme is an exaggeration of the situation for comedic effect. It just looks silly at first glance, I don't believe the OP is kept up at night by this, and is rather making a remark about how it doesn't instantly feel intuitive as a result (to use the 20 Celsius water example, its the same kind of momentary "wtf?" as 40 Celsius water not being twice as hot as 20 Celsius water. After a moment you remember "oh derp yeah we're missing 273.15 kelvin in this picture lol")

Windows defender along with a system hardener (like hard_configurator) can actually be quite insanely strong, especially since windows defender starts working and blocking stuff long before non-system apps, which can be a big boon. This approach is also free (if you have windows) which seems to fit your needs!

And yes, hello, I am normal person. I understand how hard it is psychologically to murder someone. I also know how hard it is psychologically to SA someone. And yet...

This is a "this is the option I would take" situation. I didn't insult anyone, I didn't say YOU have to take the bear. If you disagree, that's perfectly okay, but you can't tell me how I should feel, despite many men thinking that's acceptable.

I find them neat, but there's just too many issues I can't overlook.

The environmental impact of these technologies is immense, and growing exponentially.

A vast amount of the training data used for the big llms and image generators is not in the public domain, which is at best ethically grey but at worst just blatantly exploiting artists and other professionals.

If there existed some alternatives to the big names that avoided both of these issues, I'd love to use them for code autocomplete and image generation for ttrpgs, but as it stands the moral cost is too high.

As someone who is very much inside the queer bubble, and who thinks pluralkit is an essential tool to have in any discord server that considers itsself accessible or queer friendly: I strongly disagree that its the feature preventing FOSS alternatives from taking off. It could be a small factor in a sea of small factors, but I'd wager over 50% of discord users have never even seen PluralKit.
