Its not possible by blocking the barrel: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MythBusters_(2005_season)#Finger_in_a_Barrel

Likely this barrel was deformed manually using tools.

WIth instant gratification leading to addiction (for me) on Social media and the internet, I'm considering trying the old fashion newspaper.

I'm looking for lower than instant gadification resources for the news. If I get a news paper weekly, rather then just constantly checking the internet for what usually ends up being the same stories, just another outlet....

Reading a physical newspaper is lovely. Highly recommend.

Microsoft in damage-control mode, says it will prioritize security over AI (arstechnica.com)

Microsoft is pivoting its company culture to make security a top priority, President Brad Smith testified to Congress on Thursday, promising that security will be "more important even than the company’s work on artificial intelligence."...

reversebananimals ,

To reinforce the shift in company culture toward "empowering and rewarding every employee to find security issues, report them," and "help fix them," Smith said that Nadella sent an email out to all staff urging that security should always remain top of mind.

Yeah that ought to do it.

"If you don't like it don't fly"

Seriously just shut up.

Edit: LMAO just saw your other comment where you actually said this sincerely. You're a parody of yourself.

I jokingly said "1999 Honda Fit" so many times that now they call me asking about that fictional car.

Average "no one will listen to my under baked political opinios in real life so I'll hold a meme community hostage" 17 year old

reversebananimals ,

I did on Friday and within 5 mins they suspended me and reverted them all. I knew they would so I didn't care - I just did it so they'd see as many unhappy users as possible.

I then deleted my account of over 10 years with over 50k reputation. Fuck stackoverflow.

reversebananimals ,

Probably depends where you live. In a big city I don't think anyone would bat an eye, but in a small town in rural nowhere people would probably get upset right away.

Looks exactly like old reddit

Ticketing people who don't pay for parking is "bullying?"

This is pretty insulting to people who have actually suffered from real bullying. There's plenty of real problems in the world to be righteously angry about. Maybe let's not post shitty Facebook memes on Lemmy.

Google Allows Creditors to Brick Your Phone (lemmy.world)

I installed NetGuard about a month ago and blocked all internet to apps, unless they're on a whitelist. No notifications from this particular system app (that can't be disabled) until recently when it started making internet connection requests to google servers. Does anyone know when this became a thing?...

reversebananimals ,

I checked my Pixel 6A direct from Google and I do have it. You have to tap "Show system apps" in the top right menu.

A good reminder to go back and edit all your comments to [removed] if you didn't do so when you first left.

reversebananimals ,

The three known instances of censorship collusion that happened at that time concern the Canadian authorities asking Facebook to “remove users’ posts for ‘disinformation about lifting a COVID restriction’,” RebelNews now writes.

All you need to know. Fuck off with the right wing rage bait.

reversebananimals ,

Nuance? On the internet? Get the fuck out of here.

I'd like to know which 12 users upvoted this so that I can block them all.
