Agreed. The mods get the status and power they want. Spez is going to get a shit ton of money.

I wouldn’t do it but I have a life outside, many of them don’t.

wintermute_oregon ,

If it was a paid position, most the mods would be gone since that couldn’t do as they pleased. The company would be libel for their behavior.

wintermute_oregon ,

Imagine a company running like that. lol
That is why I think their IPO will fail quickly. It is just a cesspool of bots, weirdos and very little productive anything.

I never really used reddit much. I always found it to be idiotic extreme on both sides of the table. I am fairly moderate with a few hot-button issues, but I would have a beer with about anyone except Reddit mods.

I have no issues with Apple controlling the Iphone. That's why I buy it. If I didn't like it I could buy an android phone.

    wintermute_oregon ,

If I didn't want it, I wouldn't have an Iphone. I would have something else.

    wintermute_oregon ,

If you watch many IPO, you will see it spike quickly then a large dump after that. I know the last IPO I was part of, we couldn't sell for several days after the IPO.

    wintermute_oregon ,

By the time we could sell. The stock had already dropped. It never really recovered after that

    wintermute_oregon ,

Most the time they are restricted in their sales. He has to declare his in advance. Most likely he can sell for six months

Which privacy services would you donate to?

Due to financial problems, throughout my privacy journey I have only used free tools to enhance my privacy. I was recently thinking about the question: If I had the money to give back to the services I've used, which ones would I donate to? Here is my personal list, which is still a WIP:...

Europe uses the word socialism differently. It’s a difference in how the words are used and the time they are used.
If we consider socialism shared responsibility, we have it America in many ways but we are hesitant to expand it. That’s because of our fear of large government power.

If we me socialism as the workers owning the means of production. Well no country does that. Normally it’s the government owning everything and the workers being abused such as the Soviet Union or Cuba. That’s the large governments Americans dislike.

I’m a conservative and read a wonderful article on why conservatives should be leading the charge to a social democracy like Sweden.
It really changed my views on why we should be skippering certain endeavors. Just neither party here has really embraced the basic concept.

An example was national health care allowed people to be more entrepreneurial since that is a large risk to not have insurance here.

    wintermute_oregon ,

    Then you don’t understand conservatism.

I think the xps is garbage. My laptops never break. They become obsolete before they break except my xps13. Broke after the warranty. It’s the only laptop I’ve had do that.

In America, most companies only supply the dates you worked and sometimes salary. On a rare occasion if you are rehireable.

That’s about it. It’s all done through an automated service.

I had one prior employer who wouldn’t even do that. So I have to supply a ten years old pay stub to prove I was employed

I have no major issues with my car but for the money, the build quality was crappy. It’s not what you’d expect for a car of that cost.

    Amazon pricing makes no sense.

We have been buying extra strong PG Tips British tea from Amazon because we think American tea is way too weak. 3 boxes of 80 were about $40 last time I bought them a few months ago. They’re now $80. Thankfully we discovered we can get an order of 6 for $60, but we have to wait until mid-February for the to arrive. Meanwhile,...

Amazon doesn’t sell most the items. They just fulfill them. That’s why you get weird pricing. Could me multiple vendors or vendors who think you’ll just buy.
