Out of all the occupying Israel is doing, I find that of former East Jerusalem most harmless. To my understanding, the Palestinians there are entitled to Israeli citizenship, there is no apartheid system like in the remaining West Bank, there is no blockade like in Gaza. If Gaza or the remaining West Bank were ruled like former East Jerusalem, I would find Israel a lot easier to defend.

Except Jerusalem was part of Palestine at one point. It makes sense that it happened. If I had to guess, it's still part of Palestine's legal internationally recognized borders. I'm nit sure on that last but though because it's all kinds of weird.

And before before the Arab conquest Jerusalem was in the hands of the Jews. It also shouldn't be lost that Jews have lived there even under the brutal Arab regimes for over 3,000 years....

The entire point of decolonization is giving the land back to the people who are indigenous to it. Arabs are not indigenous to Judea. They come from the Arabian Peninsula.

So you're saying that violence should win out. That's an interesting take. Those people were forced to convert under threat of death, just like happened across the MENA region. That's an indisputable fact with reams of history in that country backing it up. Both the Arabs and Jews kept great notes.

Arab Jews don't exist. That's literally not a thing. Ask any Sephardic or Mizrahi Jew and you'll get an earful. There are Jews who refused to convert, they're not Arabs. The Arabization of the region doesn't give them claim to the history of the region which is clearly being attacked right now, your comments make that abundantly clear.

If you believe that violence is an acceptable form of wielding power as you claim above, then you would be hypocritical to take issue with the situation in Gaza today. Violence isn't the answer IMO, no one wins that way. Seems like people want to ignore that's how Islam spread though, but the people who live in the sole non Arab state in the region won't ignore it and are clearly fed up with it. If violence is the chosen path, it's very evident the Israelis are up for the task.

Lastly, over 70% of Israelis are either Arab or from the MENA region. Your lies about them being European Jews is just yet another bigoted stereotype. You seem to be hitting all the classics here.

It's interesting to watch people like you attempt to spread misinformation like this. Everything you've lied about is very clearly captured in the historical record.

Back to the initiation of the culture.... this isn't hard to understand. Is there a 3 million year old culture remaining today? No.

There's a 3000 year old one though and they're in their homelands again.

Also define culture. I am pretty sure that the current jews living in israel have way different culture compared to 3k years back so your point doesn't make sense.

Also define Homeland. I recently read about "aliyah" and I think people that take it should be blacklisted by all countries. It's actually insane to me how normalised this process of ethnic cleansing has become.

First, don't conflate Israel with Jews. It is a government not a religious authority, and using Judaism as a veil is deeply antisemitic.

Second, this is an infantile understanding of colonization. Shall we give Crimea back yo to the Greeks? They inhabited it 3,000 years ago. Clearly not, and if Greece invaded and exploited the land and the people we'd call them colonists.

This blood and soil logic is exactly what european nationalists use to expell Jews. Comically such advocates of this logic also rarely support returning land to indigenous peoples in the US...

What a stupid take. Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people, it's intractable from the Jewish people. Don't be so ignorant. Next week Jews will celebrate the return to their homeland from exile in Egypt, they've been doing so for thousands of years.

Your understanding of indigeneity doesn't come close to the established academic or real world understanding of it. If the Greeks had remained in Crimea, maintained the language and culture like the Jews have done then yes they'd absolutely be considered indigenous. There are a dozen examples of these sorts of people's across the MENA region, they're all indigenous, not the Arab invaders who forcibly colonised the land.

Well thankfully there’s both settings to turn those features off and settings to customize your own text replacement built right into the OS. So yeah, the users can indeed decide what they want to say/do.

Why? The suggestion bar doesn’t obstruct typing or reading, it expedites access to spell check and emojis, and if you really hate it, you can disable it.
