Alexstarfire ,

I don't think that world would exist anymore. WW3 for sure.

Alexstarfire ,

Are you suggesting they shouldn't be allowed to ban people from stores? The only problem I see here is misused tech. If they can't verify the person, they shouldn't be allowed to use the tech.

I do think there need to be reprocussions for situations like this.

Alexstarfire ,

That's why I said this was a misuse of tech. Because that's extremely problematic. But there's nothing to stop these same corps from doing this to a person even if the tech isn't used. This tech just makes it easier to fuck up.

I'm against the use of this tech to begin with but I'm having a hard time figuring out if people are more upset about the use of the tech or about the person being banned from a lot of stores because of it. Cause they are separate problems and the latter seems more of an issue than the former. But it also makes fucking up the former matter a lot more as a result.

The weirdest bug.... is that there was no bug. We just didn't know how the game worked.

Alexstarfire ,

Nah, the acorn won't be very loud when it hits the water.

Alexstarfire ,

Reddit is a forum. If you don't think so I'm curious to know what differentiates it from one.

Alexstarfire ,

The dog is named Courage and is, ironically, also cowardly.

Alexstarfire ,

I mostly got tired of the constant repetion. Felt like most of his rant videos could have been half the length and had the same content.

Alexstarfire ,

Boeing exec. Baby has no insider knowledge. Should be safe.

All the ways streaming services are aggravating their subscribers this week (arstechnica.com)

Below is a look at the most exasperating news from streaming services from this week. The scale of this article demonstrates how fast and frequently disappointing streaming news arises. Coincidentally, as we wrote this article, another price hike was announced....

Alexstarfire ,

What do you use for other downloads?

Alexstarfire ,

You use qbittorrent to download qbittorrent? I think that causes a rip in the spacetime continuum.

Alexstarfire ,

Does it make you look like as much of a douche?

Alexstarfire ,

My cousin said someone in her neighborhood has one. They live in a pretty rural area.

Alexstarfire ,

This isn't new information. Might be a higher circuit reaffirming it though.

Alexstarfire ,

I don't see it yet. When can I expect it in the mail?

IDK why I was an ass about it. Still good to spread the word.

Alexstarfire ,

Well, I thought it was funny. Wasn't what I expected.

Alexstarfire ,

Didn't it start lower? I thought it started at $5 a month.

But yea, I pretty much only subscribe to ones I use regularly. Which is mostly just Crunchyroll. Dr I'm not happy about them taking over Funimation. Now it's mostly just Crunchyroll and HiDive. Occasionally Disney, Netflix, or Hulu gets an exclusive.

Alexstarfire ,

I definitely have picked up some shows once I found out who was in it. It's pretty rare though.

Alexstarfire ,

Ohh cool, just what consumers needed. More consolidation.

Alexstarfire ,

And has cameras.

Alexstarfire ,

Good news, at least for the US folks. A warranty can't be voided just by opening up an item. Does not matter what the manufacturer says.

Alexstarfire ,

I'm only at the start of S5. Man, I hated Londo for so long. I wouldn't say he's redeemed himself, but at least he's a better person now.

Alexstarfire ,

The only ramification being that they close the account if they find out. No one is getting arrested, getting a fine, or even going to court.

Alexstarfire ,

That was extremely detailed. Thanks. Now I know how to take out the internet.

Alexstarfire ,

Yea, I doubt anyone is learning how to crack stuff these days without the internet.

Alexstarfire ,

Or the room it's in is vented. It appears to separate from everything else.

Alexstarfire ,

I'm sure it'll be a voucher just like the last lawsuit against a ticketing company. I'd like to say it was LiveNation but I honestly can't remember. I remember looking at the concerts I could go to with the voucher and they were all shit.

But that was the point, wasn't it. Give up potential profit that they were in fact never going to get in the first place.

Alexstarfire ,

I have never had this happen to me in my entire life, which is also about 3 decades of playing video games.

Alexstarfire ,

It would be odd to show resolutions not available.

Alexstarfire ,

What about a regular house out in the sticks?

Alexstarfire ,

Without something like this, I could have gone my whole life not knowing who he was or his opinions. I bet most people are in that boat. Also, it's not like he makes money from the meme format.

Not really sure what's gained from changing it.

Alexstarfire ,

I bet the guy doesn't even use Linux.

Alexstarfire ,

Man, I thought Lemmy was supposed to be better than Reddit. These comments are proving me wrong.

Alexstarfire ,

I'm one of them. Still, was hoping the hate would be left behind.

Alexstarfire ,

I'd be surprised but perhaps my information is just out of date. They do need to make sure you return the correct model but typically that's done by visually verifying what you return matches what was sold. This can be problematic which is why you sometimes here about people having returned bricks instead of the proper item at Walmart.

Though, a PS5 may have been a bad example because you do tend to reach certain price points were things differ. Like CPUs typically are kept track of individually, though GPUs often aren't.
