The same thing happened to Lego.

Originally it was small pieces you combine in creative ways to build something.

Now all the sets have these huge specialty pieces that are barely usable outside of that 1 set design. Like the giant cockpit things that are 1 big hinged piece.

One option: They could have used leather for basic armor and then turtle shells for a better set and then gold for the best. Just use existing things and combine them in new ways. It is so much better that way.

There are SO many things in MC that have exactly 0 or 1 purpose and nothing more and that is such a shame.

Those are good points. I've played MC since early alpha, but haven't played much of the 1.20+ content yet. I still haven't fought the Warden! Ahhhh!!!

I do really appreciate hearing that Jeb has that mindset and goal. And you are right that they have eventually added more uses for things that started useless.

From a design standpoint it is often surprisingly difficult to remember to use older content and mechanics on new content. You see it in RPGs and story type games often. In level 1 you unlock a skill or item, have to use it over and over for a dungeon or level, and then by level 3 you never ever use it again. Sometimes games will manage to remember the "old" things and keep them relevant and when I notice that I always really appreciate it. Several of the Zelda series games manage this. E.G. the Deku Nuts/Sticks still being used in the last dungeons.

We are talking about reality vs the ideal.

The ideal would be what you say, having more than 2 options.

The reality is we do not have that system. We have exactly 2 choices because of our voting laws and system.

If you want to talk about voting 3rd party let's first get the system changed so that even works. I want it too, but blindly ignoring how FPTP voting and the electoral college works so you can feel better isn't helping anything.

Put another way. We have a trolley problem. We have 2 tracks and both will cause some harm, but one does WAY more than the other. But you are saying you won't even acknowledge there is a lever because you would rather be off down a nice grassy trail to a beautiful town on the lakeside. Yeah, that's great, I would too, but the tracks don't go there yet. We have to build the rail to get there first. And arguing about it doesn't change the reality we are stuck in.

I guess they are flipping themselves off for being so dumb?

Assuming you are asking in good faith. The Christian/Evangelicals are the prominent group of people screaming about values and banning drag and other things they hate (LGBTQ, healthcare/abortion, immigration, voting, etc), while simultaneously being seemingly ok with stuff like this. It is quite blatantly hypocritical. It's all projection and hypocrisy and bigotry.

Exactly! And if you go look up the statistics, even accounting for populations and all that you will find that it is RELIGIOUS LEADERS and FAMILY (uncles and cousins or parents I think) that commit most of the CSA. Not drag queens or trans people.

If they ACTUALLY cared about protecting kids they would be going after every church with full investigations and lawsuits galore. Instead they cover them up and brush them off with drivel like "Oh well he wasn't a Christian then" despite the fact they probably were a pastor or youth leader and did it in the church building itself many times.

Wild.

You are applying logic and intelligence to a situation that has none. No thoughts, just hate and fear. It's sad.

I can't believe people still adore T@&#! after he has repeatedly grifted them, lied to them, demonstrated time and again he has no empathy and is a horrible human all around.

He grifted us over medical supplies during a pandemic.
He damn near ended our democracy and became a dictator.
His list of retributions he has declared if he gets elected is terrifying.
Racist and classiest as hell.

And they ignore everything and just parrot the " hE iS pRo LIfE!" BS

Same. I played MC in early Alpha when you could play free in a web browser. And then I used a cracked game for another year or so. Once I had adult money I bought it. I've since bought it probably 6+ times over between Java, Bedrock, consoles, mobile and accounts for my kids.

I probably would never have bought it otherwise, or at least not for a long time.

I think most people would consider things like, working over 40 hours when you are salaried, routinely doing someone else's job in addition to yours (like fixing their mistakes TOO much), skipping your lunch breaks to work.

Don't get me wrong, doing those things SOMETIMES is ok. It's when it becomes expected or ongoing that it's a problem. Because no company is ever going to say "You are generating more profit for us at your own expense, slow down."

"A dream. It's perfect": Helium discovery in northern Minnesota may be biggest ever in North America::For a century, the U.S. Government-owned the largest helium reserve in the country, but the biggest exporters now are in Russia, Qatar and Tanzania. With this new discovery, Minnesota could be joining that list.

If there's so much helium inside the earth, then why doesn't the earth float away?
