I know it's not "apples to apples" but swapping giant forktruck batteries (I assume they were lead-acid) has been done for decades too. I think we did it at Sam's Club, at least for when the batteries wouldn't charge.

Google Search’s “udm=14” trick lets you kill AI search for good | Ars Technica (arstechnica.com)

Tack "&udm=14" on to the end of a normal search, and you'll be booted into the clean 10 blue links interface. While Google might not let you set this as a default, if you have a way to automatically edit the Google search URL, you can create your own defaults.

Not to be that guy but I cold-turkey switched daily driver and I cannot believe I didn't do it earlier. Total amateur "copy-paster" and the only thing I sometimes can't get working are pirated games. Steam changed everything for gaming.

I switched my kids' PCs to Pop!_OS and other than "icons moving" yeah they didn't notice.

Especially when they mostly use Firefox and Steam, and those are exactly the same.

I have the Husq 115h, 3rd year starting now. After it "breaks in" and everything is even, you don't see/notice that the pattern is random. You just see cut grass.

I did have to modify the unit though! I contacted vender and Husq but it didn't really go anywhere. Basically I had to cut off 2" of the "chin" in front because it kept hitting chunks of grass and triggering impact. After cutting, it works perfect. Seems like a really odd defect on their end.

I'm 40, and when I first opened the image, I was overwhelmed with how hilariously gay it looked. But not in a bad way - almost at if it were made unironically for lgbtq.

PoE Single Board/Micro/Mini Computer/Server

I have an 8gb Raspberry Pi 4 that has been a workhorse for years. I keep it for my not intense but essential networking purposes, NetBoot.xyz, Homepage, etc., because I can run it over PoE (edit: Power over Ethernet), so it is always on as long as my network is up....

Most of our packaging machines require < 1%, target <0.5% variance (both ways). Honestly in practice, over a whole batch the total variance is extremely tiny.

Add to this story the accuracy of a household, not-calibrated scale? Yeah I'd say this seems OK.

I mean.. that's a good point. I only make bulk materials, like 1 ton supersaks, and we tend to OVERfill so customers don't complain, with the target still being close to zero for a whole batch.

that's who I use! $15 to file state, free federal; I mean that's pretty close to 'free' compared to Turbo/Inuit pushing you close to $100 after all the BS. And freetaxusa keeps my info for subsequent years, etc.

thanks, but I make too much according to that, which is something else people seem to skip over whenever these "just do it for free!!!!" posts come up. You have to make below $80k (AGI) even when married.

But, again, even if I didn't, $15 seems pretty fair to me, to avoid having to hunt for the magical free method.
