Somehow that translates to you have to give 10% of your income to Pastor Brian. Any other form of charity is great but you should still give Pastor Brian his 10% because he's doing a lot by telling you to give him 10% of your income.

Your church sounds like an outlier. Many of the church I've seen have been seeded by larger churches and ministries which they are then indebted to. Most of which would not be so forthcoming with their financials.

Thats not the question though. Why is it a church would say that tithing 10% of your income is a requirement?

I probably couldn't list all the absolute master pieces I've watched since streaming became a thing. This is some serious rose tinted glasses for the cable Era.

I like reruns of Stargate and law and order as much as the next guy but cable was absolute shit when it came to compelling series.

I hope it's just the literal flood of content we get hit with every some odd months that is warping your perception. You know, rather than the 4 month long weekly episode drops we use to have to suffer through so they could jack up prices on what ever ad they wanted to run in prime time.

That's not even mentioning the vast graveyards of pilots for series that where DOA based solely on air time.

Arguably one of the worst drugs to be taking. Death is slow and agonizingly painful. The addiction is deep seeded. I'll agree but sooner or later everyone is going to make the leap its just a matter of how far they think the fall is.

Say we start thinking about weed the same way we think about alcohol now. Ok but there is molly, mushrooms, LSD, and ketamine that can all easily step into the space that weed had occupied. Say we discrimininlize all that too. Now people understand how mood altering substances work and aren't afraid them. Does heroin seem more accessible now?

I'm not saying a tier system is good and maybe society is just fundamentally flawed in the way it thinks about mind altering substances. Some how though, we need to show people before they learn the hard way, that substance abuse has lasting adverse effects including death.

Politics isn't a zero sum game. You need to cash in on the political goodwill before it evaporates.

The relief isn't being offered on the other side. The same side giving relief wants to legislate. Both actions are working towards a common goal.
