Politics isn't a zero sum game. You need to cash in on the political goodwill before it evaporates.

The relief isn't being offered on the other side. The same side giving relief wants to legislate. Both actions are working towards a common goal.

Straw man, youre implying my preexisting discontent with the United States is a manipulation by putin. You're also implying that I should forgo my own morals to uphold an unjust system for the sake of the system alone.

I am an American. America is my home. We are taught that civil discourse, democracy, and holding your government to account is as American as apple pie. Putin might capitalize on the rights zealotry but that does not mean we give into their warped mortality for the sake of maintaining the union.

In a very confusing way you are saying surveillance is justified because in other parts of the world people are not protected by their country's justice system. So it's better to be overly surveiled than nothing at all.

Which I fundamentally disagree with and am equally upset about either circumstance.

Especially when the people doing the surveillance operate outside the confinement of the justice system. See BLM.

Typically, I don't find anything offensive about the images ai creates. What I do take issue with is the outlandish claims of artistic ownership because they strung some words together.

I like naunce so I do appreciate your post. I dream of a world where AI can assist all sorts of creatives bringing their imagination to life so they can share their inner world with others. If we go back to my OP, though, I stuck that word outlandish in there purposefully. Often these AI artist will have some hokey back story where you know they are attributing the AI's creativity as their own.

I've never found an AI image itself offensive. It's people shortcutting for profit and clout that irks me.

I am an introverted and have social anxiety. Developing people skills is unavoidable.

You might not recognize them because the way I use my people skills is to minimize forced social interactions and reassure people I like them fine but just prefer to be to myself.

People are always looking for new things to exploit. We've made basic human survival so obtainable that much of the population enjoys living in excess. We need to go back and fine tune society so that it properly distributes all our resources. That includes fighting the monsters that gaurd and gate keep the levers of power.
