Space X which he owns a controlling stake in, unlike Tesla.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Gonna nope out of that taking a photo thanks

DragonTypeWyvern ,

And it's getting railed 24/7, the dream

DragonTypeWyvern ,

I throw away rap albums from the ones that actually are murderers, come at me

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Ok, first, invent systemic racism.

Now, in a move of true genius, do it to your army.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Bowsers actually reproduce asexually, he needs them to feed his children. The gay is just for fun.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Sorry, best we can do is servitors and Cherubs.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Rock technology and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race

DragonTypeWyvern ,

It's a pretty horrifying article tbh. The assumptions and conclusions it's making if you just start asking yourself how you actually save that energy should be obvious.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

No. They thought they had discovered a recipe site that wasn't ad hell, only to discover it was a print-version lie. They will never recover. They know Web 3.0 holds only darkness

DragonTypeWyvern ,

TL;Dr Human Revolution was clearly unfinished and it's both pretty obvious and fairly disappointing.

The final product is fun, but you can tell it was supposed to be something bigger.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

I downloaded him as a kid, no regrets.

Does your fancy anti-virus tell me facts about purple African antelopes, boomers?!??

No?!?!!

I rest my case.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Yeah, people don't give up power willingly, they have to be forced. Especially when they think it's something they rightfully own.

At the end of the day it's just self interest in action.

You could do it non-violently... In the sense that the Civil Rights Movement or Indian Independence were non-violent.

Mostly.

And there was certainly violence directed against them.

And it only worked because there were enough people who very, very firmly believed in the cause... And there's always, always the implication of or else.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

The remaining question is whether you have the rest of the outfit

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Republican House:

LoL

Blue Dog Dems Everywhere:

LOL

DragonTypeWyvern ,

If we didn't pay for our forever wars with credit, I'd agree.

DragonTypeWyvern , (edited )

Lmao

Just among so many other things, like the lead poisoned baby food from March this year, you clown, the FDA was established in 1906, and Republicans are, right now, trying to abolish child labor laws and hiring 12 year olds in meat packing plants.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

You have to smoke weed on 4/20, otherwise it's the birthday.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

That's actually the theory of the origin of the split, believe it or not, formal vs casual tone in writing and speech.

British papers would print the current date as Fifth of September or whatever, American papers would print it as December 18th. There's exceptions in the record for both, obviously, but that's the leading theory last I heard.

There's also a bit about the British papers being more readily available so more people read it daily and the day was more important, versus American papers having a more rural audience where the month was more important and daily events not so much but I'm not sure I buy that one.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Can you link that whining?

Mostly they seem concerned about their cat and diet.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Literally the only time it's happened to me is on here (or MAGA, rather) from liberals pretending to be leftists because they don't know what words mean and think criticizing Biden is supporting Trump.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Say what you will about internet atheists, I don't think they go around saying everything is religion. They usually just, you know, criticize religion.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Seems like a selection bias issue tbh

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Reject lentils, embrace broccoli 🥦

Actually btw. Broccoli and spinach have much higher iron levels.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

We agree on 66% of that statement!

DragonTypeWyvern , (edited )

You have it reversed, iirc. The iron in broccoli is one of the best in terms of plant based bioavailability, and has a higher base amount, and the iron in lentils has some of the least amount of bioavailability, around 2%. Spinach's bioavailability is low too, but still higher than that at 6%.

Of course, in practice, you can just take an iron supplement or cook with cast iron and not worry about this at all.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Technically the Blade Runner universe is the Aliens universe too, so, don't worry, it will get worse.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Cybernetics (or technology in general) are both the hope of humanity and its likely doom through abuse by powerful interests.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

And there's this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MovieDetails/comments/leecbe/alien_1979_and_bladerunner_1982_have_identical/

There's also some commentary from Ridley Scott, one of the displayed replicant body designs in 2049 is clearly an Engineer, and I believe a billboard for Weyland in one of the Blade Runners, but I can't find that screenshot so maybe I'm misremembering that one.

Most of it is Easter Egg level stuff but there's enough that it's canon if you want it to be. Or not.

Really, the biggest takeaway I learned from this connection hunt back in the day was that the Blade Runner humanity had multiple colonies on other planets, which was just not something I remembered being a thing from the movies.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Everyone is good at writing.

You might just not be popular in your lifetime.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Philisitine, that is creation at its most raw and untamed

DragonTypeWyvern ,

What was fun was seeing children turning coughing on people into an actual game

And my parents wonder why I'm determined to end this cursed line

DragonTypeWyvern ,

We should probably pick a new name for modernism

Reddit Is Taking Over Google (tech.slashdot.org)

Reddit, Quora, and other internet forums that have climbed up through the traditional set of Google links. Data analysis from Semrush, which predicts traffic based on search ranking, shows that traffic to Reddit has climbed at an impressive clip since August 2023. Semrush estimated that Reddit had over 132 million visitors in...

DragonTypeWyvern ,

I tried reading a selection of some male-targeted romance/erotica once. About a quarter of it was genuinely good, half of it just hated women, and the remainder was like "she was hot and had huge boobs." Those last two were 50/50 themselves on whether I believed the author had ever touched a boob. Less if you only count consensually. And obviously harems were just fucking everywhere and personality beyond breast size was optional.

It occurs to me I never read any gay/bi romance, maybe it's better over there, but the point is:

I understand your viewpoint, at least in regards to some extreme kinks, but pls no

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Another 30% is just Nazi posting.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

That's what their marketing team decided to say.

Then they decided to pay people for activity.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

They started as humanoids, which is not the same thing as being humans.

(But they were the sci-fi trope of aliens being blue humans)

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Based on my modding experience?

Fucking everything beyond simple reskins.

The mod scene is a jury rigged house of cards slapped together by the kind of people that get mad that they aren't allowed to pull out the foundations at will.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

This is the part of the decentralized "Gig economy" model that no one seems to have a good answer for, how do you filter out bad actors or even known threats without an organization calling the shots?

I think the answer is pretty simple, honestly. Have an organization whose purpose is just to filter out bad actors and maintain the technology. Just don't be greedy or heirarchal about it. The tech staff gets paid from a small percentage from the providers.

Should be easy, right? Right??!?

DragonTypeWyvern ,

Uh huh. That's why the Emperor keeps getting more awesome and right, just being held down by all his pesky traitorous generals and incompetent nobles, all their enemies actually do want to eradicate humanity, and the viewpoint character always sees some of the flaws in the system but don't you just know it, there's some Tyranids to fight!

GW has to say it's satire. They can't admit it stopped somewhere and became an earnest story, as all satire that goes on for too long tends to do, because admitting that means admitting they make piles of cash from a fascist property.

Like, for real, bro. The "Hope" of the Imperium was the return of Roboute Guilliman, a Roman coded god-king.

He's gonna Make the Imperium Great Again.
