Been using Proton for over 4 years now, and have had no issues with it. I don't use folders or tags that much, but if you are a paid member, you get unlimited of those. They recently announced calander invites (I personally never want to use them) and it looks like it should work fine. Proton also has unlimited aliases to hide your actual address, which I use all the time (coming over from SimpleLogin.)

The bundle (mail, VPN, calander, pass and drive) is really bang for the buck for what you get, even though you don't use some of them. You can always upgrade to it later if you wish. And in case you don't plan on paying, the free versions work just as you expect!

I wish there was an easier way to tell people about Ameliorated and give it a try. Having Windows update and edge removed has already been so much better.

Now I do have to mention that I still run the iso they offered back on version 21H1 which I prefer because installing Windows takes roughly 2 minutes until it's ready to do whatever

All big tech is. They got big for a reason. Though I find Mozilla much less of a thread than other corps like Google, Meta, Microsoft. Meta I find easy to block as none of their services are actually useful. Google is a tad bit harder, and Microshit creeps in on every spot and I don't like it.

Since I found out about F-Droid and Aurora Store, I'm actively dodging the Play Store. No one will ever make me use it. Ads, promos, junk everywhere! And their shitty way of updating.

Droid-ify is my personal favorite client. You can opt in to many other repos like IzzyOnDroid (pic below) It's also material design, which I like aha.

Aurora has been fine for me so far.

My experience might be better as I logged into the account of someone else to access some paid apps. Haven't had much trouble with the disposable accounts either, may also because I haven't used it that often.

True, but we don't get to choose a whole lot when it comes to Google. I personally don't have Google Services on my phone and would like to keep it that way - so I'm not up to date what Google is pulling off these days :)

Exactly what it feels like. Had this happen once and the 5 people behind me were like "dude calm down we're not gonna shoot you lol, take your time". Which didn't calm me down. At all. 😂
