The biggest thing to me is they yanked that voice super quick. Like the same day. That makes me think a lawyer yelled at their client for being dumb and the only defense we're going to get is, "it was an honest mistake, and we rectified it as soon as we were told. The voice was prepared because we thought the deal would go through. It should never have released."

So she has a solid case but damages will be minimal.

Because that's not a speed trap, it's a rolling checkpoint for drugs, guns, and warrants.

Cops don't care that it's all locals. They don't see you as safe unless you're a cop too. And the very fact that they're working a road they can just keep pulling people on tells me they aren't looking for actual safety violations. They already use every stop to search as much as they can get away with. So when they're conducting stops back to back like that it's not a trap. They aren't waiting for a reckless driver. They're actually running a rolling check point, searching as many cars as they can.

Stop assuming good faith from cops, they are trained to lie to you and extract information. The only time a speeding stop is actually a speeding stop is when someone is going faster than the flow of traffic by a lot.

Oh his page is going to be locked for years after this if they don't allow any inclusion. It's the only way to prevent it from being repeatedly added. We'll see how it goes. For what it's worth half the problem seems to be that he has a leading sentence instead of a leading paragraph.

It's not like they're arguing over something emergent like pulling a drowning man to shore or something though. And it's a better system than the closed encyclopedias where the facts are whatever the company determines. So while it sucks that we have to have a discussion to tell the trump supporters they can't censor Wikipedia (again) it's better than the alternatives.

How did this connect to your car and Internet? Literally anything with blue tooth support will work with a smartphone. If you need to go cheap then a cable and mp3 player can work.

Wait was this thing really just an extra control screen for your phone? Looking at their manual it connected to the car power, pulled information from the phone, sent the information back to the phone, and the phone sent the information to the car.

If that accurately describes what was happening then please just get a car mount for your phone.

Care to offer an actual list? Every time someone tries to offer an actual list it turns out to be meaningless victory laps. With the possible exception of the NLRB Cemex decision. But that's getting it's stress test right now so it's a bit early to celebrate.

I mean usually people try to curate it to stuff with physical outcomes. Otherwise 90% of that list is performative crap like this one. And if you don't think that was performative have a look at what red states are doing in schools.

On that action he could withhold funding. Any police officers enforcing bathroom laws can be arrested and charged. He can federalize the Texas National Guard so Abbott can't use them on the border. He could direct Darpa to research battery technology and make any resulting patents free and open for anyone to produce.

That's 3 ideas in his power in less than 5 minutes. The laws are already on the books. He refuses to use them and keeps running this "woe is me, congress is out of control" narrative and I'm tired of nobody calling him on it.

If you check my post history you'll see I do go through the entire list when it's reasonable. I'm not trawling through a thousand EOs and NSMs for an internet stranger though. That's dangerously close to trying to prove a negative and will take multiple months. If they want to prove a point they need to support that point. Not do the source version of waving vaguely in the direction of the White House.

There's a use case for a crawling camera. They're pretty good at going over rubble if they aren't trying to shoot at the same time. For self destructing drones flying ones are easier and cheaper to manufacture.

What's pictured there is when people use Venmo to pay for something instead of just transferring money between friends. The fee is paid by the seller. Banks already do this for traditional sellers in the US which is why you'll see signs asking for cash instead of cards.
