Developers already pay a subscription fee.

Apple is just being greedy and tries to disincentivise developers from using third party stores. They are not incurring any cost associated with those downloads.

Specifically only ios users are locked down in the Walled Garden. Android users can switch manufacturers at will since they all have Google play - except to Apple of course.

Most apps nowadays are subscription based anyway.

Let's not forget the scooters are very compact, you can easily bring one into the office, shop, bus. A bicycle needs to be locked outside, often exposed to the wearher and could be stolen. I'd say it's more of a factor than bicycle costing more effort to move around.

Bicycles also have more moving parts, needs more maintenance i assume than electric scooter that has a direct drive motor with no chain or gears.

If you drive less than 1 mile per day it sounds like you shouldn't have to drive at all. It's walking distance - is your destination not reachable on foot?

Bicycle is a great investment. I go to my lidl by bike as much as possible and do proper shopping with single Pannier bag. It's farther than yours, but it's also easier to carry more stuff on a bike.

That's why people prefer driving over flying, right? If something goes wrong, the boom is small and contained.

Never mind that planes are much safer and efficient at travelling long distance.

My main issue with ebooks is not being able to sell them. I prefer them to physical books when reading, but once I'm done with a book, i don't think I'll ever read it again so I'd rather sell it to recoup the cost.

It just means you are around more iphone folks than android. If roles were reversed, android users could share photos using nearby share, or even nfc which is at least a decade old by now, and neither is compatible with ios.

Power line Ethernet is actually more similar to wifi than Ethernet the way it works, it uses your power cables as an antenna. Probably won't be jammed as easily though, you may need to plug the jammer into an outlet.

I have a wifi camera. It saves locally to sd card. When it's jammed, it won't be accessible, but it'll still record motion, so recording will be accessible as long as camera itself isn't stolen.

It is unreasonable if they are not the one providing payment infra.

They already charge developers 100$ pa for the app store account. If that doesn't cover their costs, they can increase it, but going after 3rd party payments is pure greed.
