Alpine is without Systemd tho? I see no issues there. It's primarily made for containering too. Their init uses busybox, afaik.

Obarun comes with the excellent s6 init but uses pacman as pkgmanager, rolling. Void is semi-stable afaik, but might still fit your bill.

Then there's Devuan (mileage my vary, since it's a fork) but they use a weird Runit/Sysv-hybrid if you choose Runit. Or old and clunky SysV, by default. Maybe Knoppix/MX works better?

Gentoo can use OpenRC but you want stable. (there's even an s6 repo, yay!)

AntiX, Slackware, DSL, IPFire, i have no experience with.

There's literally an open source tool suite you can flash on a thumb drive, stick it in a sleeping notebook and get access to it. Sadly don't find it anymore.

Telling you that is the job of the browser, not of the webpage. Job of the webpage is, to provide a fallback if feature is not avalaible.

What do they do? I'm on my third phone since they came to be and the one inbetween only because it became infeasible to repair a broken screen. While my Galaxy S3 just retired from being an alarm clock, because the battery can't be charged anymore (and replacement batteries were bad-as-new in 2016 already).

Yes? That's what i do. High end doesn't have the features i like and cpu and camera are outdated 3 or4 years later anyway.

mpv does everything it should in good and performant, while VLC comes with batteries (and codecs) included. This (batteries) can be a good thing because "it just works tm" or it can be a headache with weird errors and security. Personally, i switched to mpc-hc after VLC always had blocky artifacts, and later on to Linux and mpv. Only bad thing about mpv is that it has race conditions with config vs. cli, imo.

I'm more offended by the tiny antennae plugs (which are worse for signal quality than prior generation, bigger plugs, btw). I always break one or two after twenty tries to couple them.

That's why i prefer to use Wine for games. Just change the symlinks in C:/users/<you> to somewhere sane, like .local/Games/<game>/save. Guess you could also use the variables in .config/user-dirs.dirs while creating the prefix, but i haven't tested that yet.
