Connected cars’ illegal data collection and use now on FTC’s “radar” (arstechnica.com)

The Federal Trade Commission's Office of Technology has issued a warning to automakers that sell connected cars. Do not be alarmed fellow human, I have used my thermal sensors to determine that the flames are at a sufficient distance from the foliage

Yes of course. I am human after all and I do not have any thermal imaging equipment installed in my human retinas. That would be perplexing wouldn’t it?

    What does start.sh look like?

Do you have a firewall running on the host system?

If you run the container directly from start.sh, do you get different results?

When the container is running, can you tell if something is listening on 8081? ss -tulpn | grep 8081 should show it.

If they’re containerized they’ll run in a Kubernetes cluster, I’m sure you know this. Why not build the K8s infrastructure you need to get them functional? Or maybe Helm charts if you’re up for it.

I didn’t watch it but I imagine it’s something like “I was tired of getting forcefully bent over a table and rammed by a large corporation, so I decided to join the people who also didn’t like getting rammed. Now, I don’t get rammed anymore, it’s pretty sweet”

Polar smart watches seem to be fairly privacy conscious. Maybe the Pine time watch is more of what you’re looking for though. Or the HealthyPi Move.

Jets are far more powerful than humans are capable of controlling.

I think the same will eventually be true for AI, especially when you give it weapons
