What non-FOSS software have you been unable to quit?

For me, Google video search, Google books (Internet Archive is good, but doesn't always have the same stuff), Adobe InDesign (but in the process of learning LaTeX), and Typewise. As for the Google stuff, I liked Whoogle a lot, but almost all their instances seem to have been blocked or shut down. Also, apologies if this is...

Unfortunately OSM won't be able to compete with user reviews for example (except if we steal those from Google). Also a bunch of shops can't be seen there, which is crucial for me to discover cheap restaurants.

But OSM's bike routes are 10/10.

My philosophy is to just focus on 1 or few communities, instead of having a bunch of communities which will lack (more) content, but I hope it works out for you. Well gametheorists has grabbed my attention ngl. ^^

The most likely reason for this is how AI model training work. Depending on the model's complexity, training data size etc, it can take enornous amounts of time to finish a training. Probably the initial training must be atleast 2-4 week at Google but that's just a huge assumption.

After that they probably train this base model with some newly acquired data (ex: 1 week of data) which won't take as much time to finish compared to starting from 0 all over again.

Hit the gym brotha. I've started experiencing back pains, but after going to the gym (weekly 2) + moving a bit more, the pain suddenly vanished.

It wasn't really intense pain, but a slight but definitely noticeable inconvenience. The cause is probably from the copious amounts of sitting (office and also at home, because winter eeeh) and seriously low steps / day (1000-2000) daily.

Also maybe I shouldn't sit on a crappy "gaming" chair at home. Premium chairs are hella expensive tho :((

Yeah and it's kinda hard to get off from that. I'm in the process of switching my 2 gmail accounts to 2 proton ones and it seems that the ProtonMail app's free plan doesn't support multiple emails. Understandable but sad.

Okay so I've done these steps (it seems rootless podman have been setup by Rocky automatically):

  1. Get subuid:subgid with /etc/subuid:

privatenoob:100000:65536

2.:Changed ExecStart to this:

ExecStart=podman run --name=radarr -u 100000:65536 -p 7878:7878 -v radarr-config:/config -v /home/privatenoob/media/storage1/Filmek:/data --restart unless-stopped lscr.io/linuxserver/radarr:latest

3.: podman unshare chown -R 100000:65536 /home/privatenoob/media/storage1/Filmek/

Unfortunately unsharing gave me invalid arguments.

chown: changing ownership of '/home/privatenoob/media/storage1/Filmek/': Invalid argument

I have tried by leaving the -e PUID=1000 parts on but those didn't work either. Yeah and I'm using systemctl --user. Thanks for your help!

I'm doing rootless most likely, I just use the default Rocky Linux 9 setup with the Container Tools option turned on while the setup process. This didn't work either for me. Did you start the service in sudo systemctl or in systemctl --user mode? Thanks for your help!

Another hungarian here. Definitely before 1989 Hungary was probably known for having one of the best living conditions under the USSR's sphere. It went pretty good in terms of spending power (heavy censorship in media if not aligned with the regime's view, forced labor, government spying agents everywhere, couldn't talk about 1956, etc.) until the 70's when Kádár (the dictator of the country) realized that he can't keep up these living standards, except if he takes up debt. So he literally taken up debt to keep up this facade, which really hit to us when we replaced the regime, and since the people have been so used to this kind of populist leadership type, they have chosen Orbán (current president) several times, despite the horrendous amounts of corruption, stomping freedom of speech, fearmongering, spying on opponents phones etc, just because he is really good at continuing the populist ideology which Kádár has done.

EDIT: I'm not saying capitalism is good, I rather support a hybrid model which the EU does currently. Too much state intervention is bad, and too much freedom for corpos are also bad too. In my case my government happily accepts building factories in this country which 100% is better for agriculture, and these corpos doesn't have to pay much tax, can overtime workers and only pay them like 4 years later (yes this is legal).

Curious question, what made 196 so popular in the trans community? I have always seen some trans memes on Reddit, but it seems the ratio is even higher here (and some anti police stuff, idk I'm not american).

Is it because this is a place you can express yourself freely on the web, or is there something more to it?
