The difference is that Google+ was actually a wonderful product.

But a couple years down the line Google did what Google does and destroyed it from the inside making it worse and worse until it was just a shell of what it started out being.

If you were into tech, the tech people were amazing. Yonatan Zunger comes to mind. He was a backend engineer at Google and the guy was great.

I also met many people who are still friends, many of whom became real life friends too.

I even got an amazing job thanks to my contacts on g+.

The feed layout was awesome. The fact that everything got fed to rss. The fact that you could tailor posts so easily. God I miss it. Only social media I've ever really been a part of.

There is no fire. She lied. It happens. Sometimes people do stupid shit for clout. That doesn't mean that you need to assume all women are lying when they claim sexual harassment.

What it does mean is that instead of believing all women without question, you should instead hear them out, then investigate, and if the evidence is there, then you support them and amplify their claims.

Supporting women can be expressed in demanding investigations into their claims.

Sometimes people lie. It's very important that you understand this. Believing anyone without question is outright stupid. However clearly there is a trend with women being sexually harassed. Because that trend exists then that lends more credence to their claims. And they should be taken VERY seriously. The claims should not be dismissed, but investigated.

In this case, the claims were investigated and found to be untrue.

Additionally, you can click on it and tell it to never show you any more quests.

No free speech is not a right. Freedom of speech without prosecution from the government is a right.

No one is required to platform your stupid fucking viewpoint.

The 1st amendment ONLY allows you to say what you like and not have the government prosecute you for it. However, there are still limits to speech that cannot be prosecuted.

For example, you can't yell fire in a crowded theater. You can't cause a mass panic that results in injuries or death.

A private company has exactly zero obligation to platform your idiotic ramblings.

And you would be very wrong about that. A 5 phrase password has entropy. "finance-caffeine-utopia-redress-unseen" is 28 characters. If you add in a different symbol between the words and add a number somewhere, this password becomes incredibly difficult to brute force.
