Doesn't that open them up for a lawsuit then? Either breach of contract if it's in their legalese, or at least false advertising.

Docker installed great! Hello-World returns what it should. I reach problems whenever I try to do anything within Docker, like setting up AdGuard, Jackett, etc.

I'm actually diving into Linux and Docker for the first time right now, and the setup you described is exactly what I'm looking to do. But seeing as this is my first time. I was hoping I'd be able to get some confirmation of what my idea is or find faults with my setup.

In terms of hardware I have on-hand, I've got two laptops. One of which is a half-top, meaning it has no screen. The other is my daily driver. Both are running Linux Mint.

The half-top has 1TB of storage and would have Docker installed with Plex/Jellyfin, the *arr suite, and HomeAssistant.
On my daily driver, I would be running Portainer or Heimdall to access everything and make changes within the half-top itself. I would also use this to access any of the media I have stored in the half-top.

Does that sound like everything would work?

Then how do you learn about new music?

I thought about (and still want to) keep a self-hosted music library, but one of the things i look forward to is the New Music playlist that updates every Friday on YTM. I've found so many good songs and artists that way.

Well there's your problem. You've got to plug it back in!

Begins? It's been slowly getting worse for years

I'm calling it now. In.... 5 years AI will be so advanced and readily available that you won't be able to tell a real person from an AI in the digital realm. The biggest problem with that is when it's being used by bad actors. From scammers to presidential candidates to foreign governments. Scammers can already call your mom or dad, use AI to spoof your voice from even a sample of a recording (like a voicemail greeting), and fool them into giving them money. Anything other than in-person conversations can be fake. This can only have negative consequences.

How to Figure Out What Your Car Knows About You (and Opt Out of Sharing When You Can) (www.eff.org)

Cars collect a lot of our personal data, and car companies disclose a lot of that data to third parties. It’s often unclear what’s being collected, and what's being shared and with whom. A recent New York Times article highlighted how data is shared by G.M. with insurance companies, sometimes without clear knowledge from the...

Same. Apparently my car is a "smart phone on wheels", so they were getting pretty much everything.

Evangelical app 'Bless Every Home' is mapping personal information of immigrants and non-Christians in a bid to conduct door-to-door religious conversions and “prayerwalking” rituals targeting them. (newrepublic.com)

It puts a lot of features at the fingertips of the faithful, including the ability to filter whole neighborhoods by religion, ethnicity, “Hispanic country of origin,” “assimilation,” and whether there are children living in the household....

Do you think if the Satanic Temple made a line-by-line copy of their app, but painted it black/red, the Evangelists would cry foul and complain about everything we're complaining about?

What am i saying? Of course they would.

I wonder if there's a way to disable that kind of reporting. Obviously, that's not an acceptable answer to the issue. Sharing of information like that needs to be opt-in with full disclosure and not buried within pages of legalese.

But as a moderately tech savvy person, maybe there's a way to disable it's network connectivity so it can't phone home anymore.

Can I ask your setup? I'd like to get this for myself as well.

For anyone who has filed with it, how much does this return differ from using a company? Is your total return the same or can a tax professional get you back a significant amount more?
