To expand on this also. If you are just wanting something that works. You can always install docker on your windows PC and play around with it there before worrying about Linux and its intricacies. Or hell run something like pop_os or Linux mint as your main. And windows as your “server pc” and once it’s setup you rarely have to use the windows server pc it’ll just do its thing.

Edit: it’s the spacing and location. It just feels like they left a lot of dead space instead of cutting that out.
Oh. And the thing I hate. When you click on a conversation now it tunnels your vision to only that conversation.

Can we all agree that whatever version of predictive text we have nowadays is crap, and has been for a long time?

I'm sick of random capitalisations mid sentence. I'm sick of common words being replaced by less common ones or even downright nonsense. I'm sick of it taking three attempts to successfully get the word I want. I swear it's been like this for five years or more. Can we have a better version yet, or at least the old one back?

I worked for an ISP residential tech support for 3 years. Don’t tell me what’s realistic lmfao. I experienced it very, very often. And they sure as fuck couldn’t do it in windows.

What non-FOSS software have you been unable to quit?

For me, Google video search, Google books (Internet Archive is good, but doesn't always have the same stuff), Adobe InDesign (but in the process of learning LaTeX), and Typewise. As for the Google stuff, I liked Whoogle a lot, but almost all their instances seem to have been blocked or shut down. Also, apologies if this is...

So. I added home assistant and homarr to my docker compose stack. When I updated the stack to pull the new images. I lost all my saved info and files. Why is this? I’m imaging I need to define a storage point for the files ?

Yup. I used to think it was malicious by the ISPs but really it’s just all the end technology is kinda A mess for them to have control of the network for you. Which I’m gonna be honest 99.9% of customers NEED. lol

Yup. It’s never perfect but from a customer to tech support perspective it’s a lot easier for almost all end users. And anyone else can usually figure their own shit out anyways so that’s heavily offered also.
