Well, the first time they e really gotten away from that dynasty has been Acolyte. Haven't seen it yet, but judging by the discourse online this might be the last time they ever explore outside the skywalkers

kboy101222 ,

I mean...

I can think of far worse narrators

kboy101222 ,

Government doing things ≠ socialism.

Government regulating things ≠ socialism

Roads and parks ≠ socialism

Socialism is based in the collective ownership of companies by the workers who make everything happen, rather than execs and managers. Socialism isn't when government does stuff or when healthcare.

kboy101222 ,

It's supposed to be in the style of those "socialism is when government does stuff" memes. That's pretty much how all of them end

kboy101222 ,

Cause they're going to show a pop-up that advertises some "cool new feature", and the 99% of users who aren't tech literate will say yes and never think about it again.

People on this site severely overestimate how much the average person cares and their overall level of tech.

kboy101222 ,

This is the third time this week in the last hour

kboy101222 ,

I agree with the other guy... Context would be great cause I'm not googling "twitch beastiality"

kboy101222 ,

I've seen FMA... This only raises further questions

kboy101222 ,

Nation Highway Traffic Safety Administration. They're a child administration of the Department of Transportation

kboy101222 ,

DRM adds such a massive amount of overhead and is an absolute bastard to implement properly. Plus, it's pretty easy to circumvent most DRM schemes when it comes to media.

kboy101222 ,

My local council is all "small" business owners and religious leaders. They tried to fight a biking course that would have ended up costing the city $0 cause a local rich guy was willing to cover everything cause biking is "liberal propaganda" (and because one of them owns a bunch of dealerships)

We're fucked dude. There's no way in hell someone like me is ever getting elected in this town where the median age is in the 60s. And it's not like I can afford to leave. I can't even afford the fee to apply to run right now.

kboy101222 ,

If this is America, the cars will just stop in the intersection or ignore the light entirely

kboy101222 ,

Yeah, zooming in the sign says Vancouver in the bottom right

kboy101222 ,

Lmao no

kboy101222 ,

Check with your local laws. Some of them will have it setup so you don't have to pay rent if the basic amenities aren't in service, and for a desert that should include AC

kboy101222 ,

Hey, nothing wrong with that!

You should watch Bebop though, it's fantastic. And I don't like about 90% of anime

kboy101222 ,

That's fair. If you have a free weekend, it's not a long series. I knocked it out with friends in like 2 days

kboy101222 ,

Please do. It's far better than the live action

kboy101222 ,

Same. I won't watch anything serial for like 6 months and then binge like 10 series in a month

kboy101222 ,

Today I learned there are apparently diesel hybrids. Huh.

kboy101222 ,

Do we really need them here though? Do we even want them here?

kboy101222 ,

Something within me just really hates the word lerf

kboy101222 ,

As someone who was invited to that first group and told them to go fuck themselves, it's actually mostly people who have participated in reddit surveys and reddit mod meetups (where mods from a local area get blasted on Huffman's dime). Almost every mod that I know that went to one of these events got an invite and all of them gave similar answers to me.

Also, 200k karma isn't a ton. It likely places you in the top 1%, but most people don't participate anyways. I had over 300k (I think, I'm not checking) and maybe 1k was from a single post. Everything else was from the occasional comment

For the first group though they didn't actually bother to look into them. The 2 subs I ran have both been private since the last priest despite numerous warnings that I'd be removed if I didn't make them public. And my subs participated in numerous protests before then.

Still a mod on there all this time later!

kboy101222 ,

Oh yeah. They brought us in for one and said it was a 2 drink maximum. No one was actually checking, so we were all plastered with the admins

kboy101222 ,

To get to my job it would require several miles of biking followed by an hour bus trip. We don't just "all have" the ability to take busses and bikes everywhere. Plus during none of that time do I have access to a bike lane, so I'd be just praying I don't get run over by some dick head

kboy101222 ,

I agree with everything except 4 and 6

4 because video live streaming is stupid expensive. Twitch only survives cause they're owed by Amazon who owns numerous data centers to support it. Same deal with yt.

6 because everyone's already doing short form video and we don't need another tiktok alternative. We already have Instagram and YouTube, and their server infrastructure likely far exceeds that of reddit.

kboy101222 ,

Honestly, I've been enjoying not having an infinite amount of content to scroll through anymore. I get off of it a lot more and do other things. It's been nice.

Plus, memes last longer on here. I started falling behind on Reddit every week. Here a meme might last up to a month

kboy101222 ,

You forgot that the oinker attempted to dark souls roll away from the "situation". Needless to say he was fat rolling

kboy101222 ,

He was a legendary race car driver for NASCAR. Basically the Messi of stock car racing (idk much about football. Or NASCAR for that matter)

kboy101222 ,

It even says "spider" on the tag this time

kboy101222 ,

Out of curiosity, how can you tell the sex from the image? I thought birds were legendarily difficult to sex even if you're holding them in your hand

kboy101222 ,

If it's anything like iFunny, the comment section is likely horrific enough to contest 8chan

kboy101222 ,

Cause they've been hyping it up as the next big thing for everybody

kboy101222 ,

It's software to help keep track of client data.

Also the bane of every IT person I know that has to work with it. It's second only to printers.

kboy101222 ,

You're right, but every SF dev I've ever met is a miserable

kboy101222 ,

As someone who hosts these types of shows, you have 2 forms of "know it all's" - Pros and cheaters.

Pros are the people that just do trivia nights. I have some regulars that play 7 days a week at different venues, using their winnings to offset their food and drink costs. They know an ungodly amount of things themselves or they have a team of people with high levels of knowledge in different categories. You'll find a lot of retired computer and science people in this group. I have a regular group of professors from the local university. They span over almost every discipline. They come about once a month and I haven't seen them not get at least top 3 every time.

The second group, cheaters, can go fuck themselves with a cactus dildo. You'll have probably 5% of a show being cheaters. This includes people that cheat the entire time and people that cheat for one or two questions.

Sadly, not much can be done about the second group. People will always cheat and venues are extremely reluctant to kick anyone out since it could affect their income. Plus, you have sneaky cheaters. I have one group that I know is getting answers from somewhere. It's 2 people and they seemingly know everything. I suspect they have a friend at an earlier show feeding them the answers or someone in this company is leaking answers to them.

Anyways, you didn't ask but I felt like posting that so enjoy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

kboy101222 ,

Oh yeah, meant to say in my long ramble -

If you can get like 20% of the questions correct, you're already smarter than the average person. Some people are just really damn good at trivia, and you don't need to compare yourself to them. It only matters that you're having a good time

kboy101222 ,

Yeah, it's Ark but infinitely less grindy and with Pokemon

kboy101222 ,

Hear me out -

It's a ring torus with a a different substance inside.

It's a filled donut.

kboy101222 ,

Yeah, I'd agree. It's definitely 2 different things going off the cube rule
