Your sabotage will be your calling card. Since ecotage has fallen out of favor, people will think "oh snap, the pipeline welder stuck again. I bet they could weld 10 miles of pipeline control valves shut in a single night"

rockSlayer ,

It's just metacommentary on the illusion of choice from corporations. Stay the course comrade

AI cameras being set up on highways to catch drivers who throw trash out of their car windows::The decision to install cameras in UK lay-bys aims to prevent littering but one campaign group described the approach as "meaningless."

They were part of the capitalist class. Aside from being extremely confused about the tech, they'd most likely support it.

rockSlayer ,

God I wish. I live in an American city, so it's too dangerous to walk along the 4 lane stroad to get to the grocery store a block away

rockSlayer ,

That's correct, suburbs are the product of the worst housing experiment in the US, in which racists fled from cities to suburbs. They were designed to benefit white people in the aftermath of WW2, because white people were more likely to afford a car. More racism prevented POC from buying in the suburbs or qualifying for housing loans. A second layer of racism came when the Department of Transportation intentionally used Emminent Domain to design the highway network for disrupting and dividing neighborhoods of black people. The whipped topping of this racism pancake came from an unassuming supreme court case, which allowed for municipalities to "preserve the character of the community", which cemented racist single family zoning into city ordinances and prevents literally anything other than a single family home from being built

I'm in a position to have knowledge about multiple bargaining committees working on their first union contracts. The demand to RTO is literally entirely the ego of CEOs and other executives that believe their opinion is more valuable than research. They also know that employees will never accept "because we say so", so they cling to flimsy or highly biased data as evidence, without ever showing their sources or methods.

Another aspect that is likely overlooked: they're counting on people to quit. It's an opportunity to have a self-selecting layoff without massive payouts or running into the WARN act. Apple has made this more than apparent by mandating RTO at a location, and then relocating that office to Texas. They still have other labor laws to deal with, but they don't care about talent retention.

I spent $500,000,000 to destroy a company

If anyone needs advice on starting a union at your workplace, I'm an experienced organizer and more than willing to help!

rockSlayer ,

Unfortunately as the owner, you're not legally allowed to encourage your employees to unionize. Something else to consider as another option: you do have the power to convert your business into a worker cooperative

There was a point where hdmi was new too. DisplayPort is superior, it should be the new standard

rockSlayer ,

It does, because the batteries for electric cars have a reliance on rare earth metals.

Lol the downvotes are hilarious. We will not solve climate change with electric cars. Public transit in walkable communities with niche uses for cars and trucks are the only way forward.

The genie is pretty ancient, my head canon is that it's just the genie's personal rules over the millennia

rockSlayer ,

there was a point where script kiddies thought using Kali meant installing Kali, so at one point yes it has been used as a daily driver.

rockSlayer ,

And they bite the shit out of each other

rockSlayer ,

This is the "ad". Personally, I don't think a little plug like this is worth any kind of fuss. If it were a real ad or something, then yea I would get it.

It's a heavily modified firefox browser designed to work with something called "the onion network". It's called this because there are several nodes on the network designed to obfuscate your Internet traffic by wrapping a layer on your Internet traffic, creating an "onion". All of these layers mean that each node only knows what the previous and next nodes are. The most vulnerable nodes are the starting and exit nodes, because they can identify you and potentially trace back your IP. You also can't choose your starting or exit nodes. It's well known that the US federal government controls some of these exit nodes.

rockSlayer ,

Well said! Good reminder for why we punch fascists.

That's ok, this map of native American lands is definitely outdated. The Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) lands are much smaller than it should be. As that's the only tribal name I can actually read, I imagine it's a similar story for the other tribes.

rockSlayer ,

Just sayin' but there are still several native tribes still existing across the Americas. We can talk to them.

rockSlayer ,

Even funnier is that a few of these are both

rockSlayer ,

And this clause will give unity some fun lawsuits for those old versions

rockSlayer ,

Just want to clear the record and say that every business owner thinks this, it's just that this jackass has the stupidity to say it out loud. They don't want to pay more, which has become a necessity since the pandemic due to low unemployment rates. By having a larger labor pool, they can cut wages to take advantage of people's desperation.

rockSlayer ,

For the other Americans that came into the thread hoping to see a conversion:

  • 10c = 50f
  • 30c = 86f

Edit: I'd like to note that 10c is a very reasonable temperature for shorts. I'm a Minnesotan (basically Canada lite (please annex us)), people start raising eyebrows at around 0C

rockSlayer ,

I don't know what this is implying other than elephant-human-hybrid sex

rockSlayer ,

That was his real crime. He stole rich people money. Where's the CEO of bitconnect? Not in jail, I can tell you that.
