I bet its people trying to justify their veneration of the law, a major issue I've seen on the Internet in recent years. Most people shoplift for thrills (iirc), then it's desperation. And even if someone steals to resell, they literally can't do a mark up outside of specific, terrible, circumstances since the store (and hundreds of stores just like it) are right there.

The only time I've ever cared about someone shoplifting was when they stole from the store i was working at and, this is the important part here, tried to act like i was too stupid to get they were stealing. Hate to pick the capitalist, but he does seem to be the only option going forward from fnv. He might be up his own ass, but he isn't stupid like our current oligarchs and he does seem to have a real plan for the future.

The legion is a total shithole that'll fall apart the second Cesar dies, and we don't really get to see any positives they might have either (not that i think any could outweigh the negatives of legion rule)

Unironically yes. If you just come into a billion dollars (like inheritance or something) and just kinda exist, that's one thing, but constantly needing more like most of the rich is a mental illness. The only way to justify actually chasing that much money is by trying to fundamentally reshape society, but when they do that it's only to feed their obsession with More rather than trying to create a world they'd want
