Not trying to simp for TEAMS, but what issues are people having? Every now and then I have to go in and change mic and speakers back to laptop, presumably from some update our IT deployed.

Other than that and wanting it to show on MY screen when I'm transmitting sound, I can't think of any improvements. Works better than the conference calls we used to have.

Funny thing is I've heard of a study where they did something similar (safer and more controlled I'm sure), and the boys all cooperated with each other and got along very nicely.

There is this notion that most states are "solid red or blue"... except we keep getting surprised in elections, and polling has been shit since at least the 2016 election. I don't want people in TX giving otherwise Biden votes to some 3rd party when the state as a whole has been trying to become more blue.

Trump's new slogan is going to be "Take America Back". You can buy the merch on AliExpress right now. His followers don't interpret that to mean "by voting".

Save the 3rd party virtue signals for a time when we're not on the verge of a civil war. The message we should all be sending right now is unified support for the guy who can keep Trump out of the oval office.

I think the deal was so good for Twitter that it may have been illegal for them not to sell to Musk because their job is to maximize profits or value for the shareholders or whatever. As a publicly traded company, not doing the deal would be choosing to not maximize profits.

Now in hindsight the idiot is killing current stock value, but that still has nothing to do with the shareholders who had stock when Twitter was sold. Those shareholders were thrilled to sell all their stock well above market price. Corporate ethics.

    Having been this person, I can assure you it's not laziness. Sometimes you really are that late, and 30 sec can be the difference between going through traffic lights or hitting a red light. It could be the difference between being in front of or behind a school bus on a one lane road.

    Yeah I don't understand the landlord hate on lemmy. Some landlords suck, but lots don't. Many people can't afford to buy a home. Where are they supposed to live if renting doesn't exist?

    Then what about hotels? Are they also evil for buying and renting property? Should people have to buy a property while traveling for a week?

    Where would we walk? Most places are not set up for that.

    Some people go on walks around their neighborhood for the sake of walking. But unless you live in the right area of the right city you can't just walk half a mile to get a muffin. The store is a 10 minute drive away.
