Dude im driving a 33 year old car as my daily. Sub 100 thousand miles and gets better mileage than quite a few modern cars, gotta love government fleet cars. Anyways take your classist shit and shove it, just cause you can and your ilk can buy a new car every other year doesn't mean most people can, will, or want to.

Ok, that fucken explains most everything. I dont know how folks over in Germany do things, but im gonna presume that theres a decently functional public transit system available in most regions. That doesnt exist here in the US for the most part, need to get anywhere you'll probably be driving, and if you need to guarantee that the vehicle will work then you will probably own your own car.

Hell the Last of Us is on every plastation system from the PS3 onwards, also Skyrim. There were also notable differences between PC and console games with random bits of overlap, now its a fucken circle.

LA is bad with snow but its also not a factor for most of em. I fucken hate snow but I know how to deal with it cause im in the foothills of the San Bernardino mountains and it sometimes slushes the fuck up. I hate it. Also NorCal freezes a lot theres areason why the Donner party happened up there.

You also forgot to mention that the damned things are rolling death traps since the doors arent properly mechanical. Why the fuck should I trust something that requires power to work in an emergency. Any number of things can knock out power and disable the doors if I back my 20+ year old jeep into a fucken river I could still open the door the seals are all shot as well so reduced pressure issues.

I was moreso pointing out the obvious and quick solution. On a more legal situation, I suspect that said individual could be taken down as a foreign agent, most of the laws around that shit from the cold war are still on the books. The fact of the matter is youre are coming at this from the perspective that we dont have laws around what foreign agents are allowed to do, Americans can certainly be foreign agents just ask my 2x great grandfather who was snitching on the Bund who were almost all American born.

Honestly the welding and soddering joints breaking down in some vehicles is also a pretty good example of dropping quality. The cybertruck is a mess from the start but the other cars in theory are kinda ok, like I would fucking burn one if it was force on me but I think late 80s interiors are peak.

Im just gonna point out we as a culture have been dealing with this problem of just random acts of violence for quite awhile, its just that what came before mass shootings is kinda glossed over / forgotten. Before the mass shootings we had bombing campaigns, the una bomber being the most notable. Its just that unless it was really big it rarely got all that much attention and due to how everything was disconnected at the time unless you were the FBI you may not have even noticed it was a thing.

The problem is that the Columbine mass shotting and rise of cameras kinda killed off the mass bombers. Also Columbine happened right when this shift was happening and thusly became the standard for what people do. If it was instead some dudes shooting up a police station I suspect that would have become the norm.

The first drones date back as far as WW2, so its even funnier that their being called the weapons of the future. Mind you the WW2 equivelents are very primitive by todays standards but still.

The german had the Goliath anti-tank mine, which allied soldiers would use as go-carts when they captured them. Also they were badically small RC tanks.

Pretty intereting to hear about the V-1 and V-2 from the civilian side. My great grandfather helped reverse engineer the damned things furing ww2 and was always annoyed that the germans used them as terror weapons. He thought they would have been of better use as specialized rocket artillery for armored collumns.

He also worked on the Stuka air break system, which apparently was a pain in his ass since the aircraft he was given was mildly defective which caused him much annoyance.

Fun fact early lever action rifles date as far back as the American revolution but due toa ship burning most of the prototypes were destroyed.
