That's something, lol. I'm not irreplaceable but it would be an absolute clusterfuck if I left, at least for a while.

I do a good job of documenting everything but so much of my work relies on scripts that I wrote and never properly deployed - a mix of python and VBA, and all my reporting relies on an API connection that nobody else maintains and other than a handful of queries I shared, nobody really knows how to use it.

I'm not trying to be shitty but it's job security.

Think about it longer term... All the people struggling at the bottom now have secure housing. More money is free for nutrition, hygiene, they can get better jobs or afford schooling... Trades or higher education. More people have a chance to escape poverty and contribute production, get more money to spend, more money gets out into local economies. So and so forth. It's a good idea.

    No joke at a company outing someone pointed out my socks were Darn Tough brand and he lifted up his pants to show his. Then my boss too, and we all talked about socks and lifetime warranties for 5 minutes and holy fuck I'm old. Or at least no longer young.

    Just sharing my experience here as well. I bought a Dell gaming monitor - it was a TN panel with gsync and 144hz it was quite expensive at the time.

    Anyway, that piece of shit was replaced 5x under warranty. Faulty panel, backlight dying, lots of issues with input ports, broke firmware, etc. their warranty and service was top notch, but that was a lot to go through with a $500 piece of equipment. I bought an LG after that one died and have had 0 issues.

    Literally me last night. In my brain I had to solve some complicated word/number puzzle to fall asleep but I couldn't figure it out so I tossed and turned for 6-7 hours with some little hints of sleep but 100% certified fever dream.

    So random, I just had a YouTube recommendation of stannis correcting Arya's grammar.

    I'm not sure what happened, but my algorithm is on fire lately (in a good way). I frequently get recommended quality videos with very little engagement and not many views. Smaller gaming channels, car enthusiast videos, short <20 second videos that are hilarious and remind me of early YouTube.

    It looks like other people are getting these as well because they will be 5-6 year videos with 10k views and all the comments are from this last month.

    The whole experience is very much "early YouTube" and I'm here for it. My front page used to be all from the same dozen channels but I have so much more variety now.

    You probably already know but there's a good extension for returning the dislike button that a lot of people seem to use. And another one for skipping sponsored content automatically and it also adds a highlight button that will skip to what is presumably the point of the video (why you clicked) as well as ublock origin.

    Between that and the improved algorithm my YT experience is so much better.

    It does a pretty good job with the ratio id say just give it a try?if a video is like 75% or lower it's usually a pretty shit video or the person has some wack views. I've seen a few videos too where it's as low as ~25%

    Are you in the US? What was the allergy testing like? How much did it cost?

    I've had just the worst GI issues this last year or two and tried tweaking my diet and got no results. I asked my doctor and she said might just be gluten/dairy intolerance. I cut those out and still consistently had issues. I gave up and ate a pizza and the next day dropped the biggest log of my life no issues.

    I wanna get tested but not sure where to even start.

    Heh someone in a Tesla was blinding me from behind and tailgating so I moved both side mirrors and the rear view to aim them straight back. He passed around me over the double yellow line. With him now in front of me and in traffic I just flipped my high beams on and chuckled to myself until he eventually turned off and I put my headlights back to normal :)

    Same. I have to use bill.com for a contract, I swear they made their website as mobile un-friendly as possible because they push their app so hard. Like, I use you to submit one invoice a month I don't need an app to do that, fuck off.
