Valid point, but have you considered "Apple"?

Sure, it still won't have genuine utility for everyday use, but it will have a rabid fandom who want to be cool to the point of justifying overpriced hardware with weak arguments that reduce to "because I just lile Apple."

Death_Equity ,

Sounds like a successful product launch, good enough to justify a second product in the line.

The rich flexing inspires desire. People don't want a Lamborghini because it is the best car, they want a Lamborghini because they envy people who have one.

Your calves are defined and your bank account can barely hold a comma?

They aren't stranded because there is the emergency capsule to get them back.

Classic corporate doublespeak and half truths.

One that doesn't know she has bladder control issues.

I assumed it wasn't the comedian, but bought that he might be angry enough at Windows to make it happen.

Death_Equity ,

Good thing he stopped using it a few weeks ago.

Death_Equity ,

IR is heat, so headlights produce a a lot of IR. Laser headlights emit less IR with the visible light, but radiate heat.

Death_Equity ,

You asked if headlights emit IR because you didn't think they do, they emit IR.

Death_Equity ,

Hey, come on now, elephants think you're cute. Probably.

Death_Equity ,

That would never work. There is a better chance there will be layoffs cause by a mid-quarter bonus rumor, definitely a mass email to dispell the rumor.

Do it anyways, just to seed some chaos.

Death_Equity ,

Absolutely, they need a better filter and on-board processing. It is like they are just gathering and transmitting for external processing instead of cherry picking the data matching an action that is previously trained and sending it as an output.

I'm guessing they kept the processing power low because of heat or power availability, they wanted to have that quiet "sleek" puck instead of a brick with a fanned heatsink. Maybe they should consider a jaunty hat to hide the hardware.

Gathering all the data available has future utility, but their data transmission bottleneck makes that capability to gather data worthless. They are trying to leap way too far ahead with too high of a vanity prioritization and getting bit for it, about par for the course with an Elon project.

Death_Equity ,

But can it run Crysis?

Death_Equity ,

We need a real show of performance, "how many chrome tabs can it have open?" Is the real test.

I will have my Grandma use that Gigacomputer for an hour, we will know the number.

Death_Equity ,

Is she single?

Death_Equity ,

She can do rails of pearl while I new deal her dust bowl as long as you call me Peepaw when I take you to museums.

Death_Equity ,

I defer to hubris in most of these cases.

I am guessing that the people who made the decision to train on Reddit had no idea what type of place Reddit actually was just a short time ago. Maybe they heard of Reddit, maybe they noticed how useful Reddit was in search results, maybe they browsed Reddit and only saw the facade; what they definitely didn't do is be a Redditor for years.

Any Redditor on that team either kept their mouth shut because how funny the end result would be or was ignored.

Death_Equity ,

You ever see someone do something they have been doing wrong for years and have missed important aspects that concern safety because they learned how to do it from analyzing a database entry on the subject instead of being taught by someone passing down generations of experience shaped through past failures? Because you have.

Death_Equity ,

ADHD do be like that.

Death_Equity ,

Back in my day, that was a TV stand with a sheet over it.

Death_Equity ,

As a robot tiger, your ability to maul rednecks and hillbillies with narcissism that try to contain you would be considerably greater than your current form.

Simp subs for twitch thots.

With the Amazon Alexa equipped with the GM-AL Vision System, we can time the ads between vision lapses and achieve nearly 95% ad prevalence in 91% of Prime subs.

With the Extended View VR headset equipped with new eye-opening visuals we are seeing 98% percent ad observation with only a 23% hospitalization rate for blindness and numbness of the zygomatic nerve.

Both the Amazon Alexa with GM-AL and Extended View headset will be available for $99.99 and $249.99, or $49.99 and $149.99 with a prime subscription, this next fiscal quarter.

GHB and rufies are used recreationally, not just for date rape.

The purpose of drug education programs in schools is to scare kids, not to genuinely educate kids so they can make informed decisions in their own lives. They also can't cover everything because the education system is fucked and drugs would require a semester to teach to an appropriate degree and serve harm reduction. They also need to not tell kids enough because it could backfire and make drugs seem interesting to try. Try making DMT not sound awesome.

Used corn oil, tortillas, and a hint of a taste like new car air conditioning smells with an aftertaste of a little bit of brake fluid. Yeah, I can kind of see how that would be off-putting but you won't mind it and you can just swallow it with a liter of black current juice and spend some quality time with machine elves instead of vaping it.

The taste aspect of DMT is like a partner who is 10/10 that will blow your mind in every way but who has farts that smell like a rotting dumpster of seafood and offal on fire outside of a wastewater treatment facility. You can't just write them off because of one manageable issue.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, the only sin he saw that gave Jesus second thoughts of dying for our sins was socks and sandals.

I can accept the poor quality tools that might be off by a few hundredths, but using imperial on precision measurement devices is unforgivable.

Death_Equity ,

The startup cost on their charger stations is pretty high and they typically have a deal with land owners to have them installed, so I doubt they hit break even for years on one bank.

They were aggressive in putting up charging areas to ease the hurdle of charging for potential customers when they were the only viable BEV and sales have slumped pretty badly now, so spending more on chargers at this point is financially unwise. With charger competition ramping up they are not in a great place for the financial aggression needed to have the chargers pay off in any timespan with limited income from car sales.

If they had been of the mindset to corner the charging market, instead of driving sales of their vehicles, they would have had an entirely different strategy and could have had a great steady income off chargers.

Google, it makes them money. Marketing departments, because they need to justify their existence.

I would assume a retail ready model would have the capacity for that blinding level of nits, but undervolt to a more reasonable brilliant 2,000 and then add voltage over time to compensate for the dimming over time.

I will say that having a >10,000 nit display could be really cool at 8k, you could produce some really awesome images and stare at the Sun without having to go outside and with less cone damage.

Apparently the Sun at noon is 1.6 billion nits, that would be hilarious in a TV.

Drill with an abrasive scubbing pad on it will sort it out real quick.

Death_Equity ,

It does protect from rust somewhat(water can still cause rust if left on it) but the big deal is it makes the cookware non-stick without Teflon.

Death_Equity ,

Don't do this if you have hard water.

Death_Equity ,

The smoother the surface you start with, the smaller the surface texture that the seasoning needs to smooth out, the harder it is for food to grip the surface.

I am tempted to 1200 grit random orbit a pan and see how good life can be.

That's why I disabled updates in the registry after they updated me to windows 11. They can take my windows 10 when the sun dies and I will switch back to Linux, again.

Roku explores taking over HDMI feeds with ads (www.lowpass.cc)

Roku is exploring ways to show consumers ads on its TVs even when they are not using its streaming platform: The company has been looking into injecting ads into the video feeds of third-party devices connected to its TVs, according to a recent patent filing.  ...

Well it is 85" big with 1080p resolution at 60fps and a projector. So it will look terrible compared to 85" 4k 120fps with light darks and will need a dark room for decent colors.

It would be fine for retro games or pre-HDR games, but don't expect anything modern to look as good as a 4k QLED with microdimming.

You can spend 2-3x as much on a 4k projector setup compared to an 85" 4k QLED commercial display that won't look terrible with the lights on.

Death_Equity ,

Commercial displays are dumb TVs.

My Sony is smart but doesn't care that it doesn't have Internet connection and hasn't tried any funny business with open networks.

Death_Equity ,

The Pihole has groups that you can separate devices with and remove blocks for those devices.

So you can have your stuff fully blocked and then her device can have the problematic blocks removed.

Death_Equity ,

You would need to cut the antenna and then put a dummy load on it, disabling the modem would almost certainly give you errors that will probably make the TV unusable or break something you actually need for TV functions.

Death_Equity ,

You would need multiple generations more advanced neural interface for them to beam dreams, and you would need to have a neural interface.

What will come first will be unskippable AI generated ads inserted into content as a scene or a scene extension that wasn't in the original cut, like a 4th wall break to promote Raid Shadow Legends that will have seamless transitions. It will not matter what you are watching or when it was made; John Wayne will start talking about how you should talk to your doctor about an alopecia drug while he rides his horse and kid's cartoons will show off the latest in super soaker technology during their adventures.

They will probably even put dynamic ads in fake loading screens for video games and product placement in your social media photos decades before you dream of electric cars.

Death_Equity ,

You ever see what an LG does to a Pihole block log? They try to phone home every minute.

Death_Equity ,

You can still buy both the printer and paper on Amazon.

Death_Equity ,

Typewriter and serial-killer bashed together article clippings are based anti-establishment.

Death_Equity ,

Yes, see Amazon.

Death_Equity ,

Given them payment in diluted dollar water.

What was really annoying was other industries saying the same thing. There was a laundry that had "heros work here" on their sign, as if they were anywhere near the same level.

Death_Equity ,

My memory is terrible, I have trouble with long-term memory. I have a few memories of when I was younger than 5. One of them I believe was from when I was still in the crib(definitely less than 2), but I have no means to verify it as a genuine memory or a false memory. I think it was suppressed for years until I unintentionally unlocked it. I can "remember" the picture of the room in the direction I was looking, vague knowledge of what was happening, and memory of the feelings I had at the time. I feel it was an important part of my life that, for better or worse, that has had an effect on who I am and has shaped my relationship with my parents. It is my earliest memory and it haunts me, persisting like a scar on my self. I would give anything to forget it or to confirm it as false.
