Well, I'm still in the noob stage and i intend to stay there. My OS is just a means to an end and Mint is perfect for that.

Whenever I need to do something, I'll figure it out. Sometimes it's a pain, like getting VNC to work. But then I'll write down the most important bits and duly forget the rest. I just want this stuff to work.

I would never have considered gaming on Linux until the Steam Deck came out. When reviews said it's actually awesome, I became convinced to try it. Basically, the deck pushed me over the edge to ditch Windows altogether. So suck on that, Satya! No wonder MS is trying so hard to stop other OEMs from making Linux handhelds.

Ironically, the last time i needed a Windows PC was to set up my Brother laser printer. You needed to do it with some utility that was only available for Windows.

Fixed a typo in my /etc/fstab that prevented the NAS from mounting. I am a bear of little brain. But I'm also proof that you don't have to be some master hacker to successfully run Linux.

    I've been using Linux for a very long time and nothing of the sort has ever happened to me.

    I've had to fix many issues but I've never had anyone be an ass about it. I've received plenty of friendly, helpful advice.

    SuSe Linux in the early 2000s. Came on a couple of CD-ROMs. We used it to run JBoss servers at work, alongside various Unix flavours. But my first experience with Unix was in the late eighties at university. Been using Mint as my daily driver for about two years now and I'm never going back.
