So the formula for nits to Lumen is below:

N=L/3.426

614,000 = L / 3.426

2,103,564 Lumens

Bruh...

1m² of the sun is 127,000 Lumen. This TV is at most 2 m². It'd certainly be the last thing you ever saw.

Immortality doesn't imply invulnerability. Statistically you'll turn into a meat sack filled with shattered bones at some point. Pain eternal.

Just keep soaking it drinking mercury.

Lawsuit alleges Grindr illegally shared users' HIV status, sensitive data with third-party advertisers. (www.theregister.com)

Hundreds have joined a UK class action lawsuit against LGBTQ+ dating app Grindr, seeking damages over a historical case of the company allegedly forwarding users' HIV status as well as other sensitive data to third-party advertisers....

How long before this gets acquired by Match Group? They seem to have infinite funds for acquisition.

Significant rise in mental health issues among children and teenagers. That didn't happen with TV, music or books.

There is a significant rose in mental health issues across the board. Could it be because we are more informed and mental health is less stigmatized? No. Could it be because we're telling the children (rightfully so) that the world is dying and that they need to reverse it themselves? No. Could it be because they've lived through 3 once in a lifetime recessions, and too many catastrophes to count? No it's....

Patches ,

Did we really need to prove a "once in a lifetime epidemic" decreased mental health?

Columbine ruined The Matrix look real quick.

If you’re nothing without the suit, then you shouldn’t have it.

But that's just a Theory.... A [Medium] Theory!

Well it was really easy until you told me about it !

I mean how often do you really look up band member names? Spotify/Pandora/YouTube/Plex just return songs when you look up their names not their mugshot.

Gold lining: Never go home for Holidays

Platinum Lining: Work from Home is even more commonplace, and no more random flights to the office, or on-site.

But why would anyone?

I have an MDM on my work phone and I can't even access PlayStore anymore. It only allows Company Allowed Apps which is to say nothing. YouTube is broken because MDM somehow controls my DNS records. Firefox cannot be installed so Ads everywhere. Chrome only and it can only go to approved websites because Yahoo is safe but Ars Technica is not???

Why would anyone want that on a device they pay for?

Is my MDM different from their MDM?

Patches ,

Sounds like a win to me.

We don't even use Cameras anymore for anything except explicitly scheduled one-on-one meetings like Quarterly Review.

Sounds like they're respecting work life balance in a round-about way.

No Boss, I didn't get that email sent at 11 PM last night. I don't sit in front of my PC at all hours of the day.

I, for one, am looking forward to the $.0036 Check in the mail. While some lawyer pockets $97 Billion. Any day now...

You add a Delay to the component and when the boss says 'make it faster' - you could spend hours optimizing - or you just remove, or make smaller the delays.

You look fantastic to your boss if you can remove a 1/2 delay.

I've got set timeout all over my websites for this purpose 🤣😭.

They literally say "Word beginning with 'eu' and ends with 'genics'" inside the article pimping them out.

With a sprinkling of 'Orchid doesn't like us to use that word' as if 'Nazis do not like to be called Nazis' is a valid complaint.

No that's literally what it means:

The practice or advocacy of controlled selective breeding of human populations (as by sterilization) to improve the populations' genetic composition

Science that deals with the improvement of inherited qualities of a race or breed and especially of human beings

The practice or advocacy of controlled selective breeding of human populations (as by sterilization) to improve the populations' genetic composition

You can always drive to those things in the same way you can always drive to the middle of the forest.

Personally I like waking up and going out on my porch to see squirrels, and wood peckers, bunny rabbits, and occasional deer in peace.

Can't get that in the city. I gotta drive to the museum, or the restaurant anyways. Can't afford to wake up in either.

Roku explores taking over HDMI feeds with ads (www.lowpass.cc)

In 10 years that Rolex will hold its value, and may even appreciate in value as they often do.

Even a $40 Casio will still be working good as new in 10 years with less than $5 in parts & labor.

Your $400 smart watch will be literal garbage because its battery is
    nonreplaceable.

    Patches , (edited )

My problem isn't with either. I am just stating that your average Smart Watch isn't going to be worth anything in 10 years. There is the battery itself, then the fact that software at best is supported for 3 maybe 4 years, hardware support may or may not exist.

They are inherently disposable while a Rolex, and most watches actually are capable, if not intended, to be heritage pieces capable of surviving decades.

    It's not Apples to Apples.

Just spend hours pouring over JavaScript for every single website you ever visit. It absolutely won't consume you, or leave you constantly frustrated with broken websites

Well for starters. Consumers in general have very little rights in the United States.
