Socialism 2024. End the MIC, and end capitalism before it ends us

Zuberi ,

Bro, you're genuinely dumb as rocks

Zuberi ,

Tell me you have 0 OPSEC without directly telling me you have 0 OPSEC

Zuberi ,

Paywall bypass extensions are much less work than this comment

Zuberi ,

Your loss my guy, enjoy complaining about a very fixable problem.

Zuberi ,

Most people archive the sites themselves (or save a direct .html file). Seriously, archiving it is MORE work for the 99% of us using a bypass.

You're the dork essentially not using an adblocker and going "you knowww I just kinda like ads...what can I say." Justify your waste of time all you want, I and the rest will continue to post the primary source (that we can legit ALL read for free).

Zuberi ,

Socialism 2024

Zuberi ,

You have the power to change the world brother.

Zuberi ,

That's on them, then. I will vote with my conscience.

Zuberi ,

Lemmy.world's bot problem is 1000x worse. No contest if this is the choice.

Zuberi ,

I personally run a Windows VM inside of my Linux-only machine

If a program gives me issues w/ Proton, I have actually found that installing inside windows and moving over into a wine directory works surprisingly well for some products (cough, adobe)

Zuberi OP ,

No promises

Zuberi OP ,

You seemed to have misspelled "It's nice to get some recognition, thank you."

Music Piracy Is Back, Baby (gizmodo.com)

"Muso, a research firm that studies piracy, concluded that the high prices of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music are pushing people back towards illegal downloads. Spotify raised its prices by one dollar last year to $10.99 a month, the same price as Apple Music. Instead of coughing up $132 a year, more consumers...

Lot of comments don't seem to understand that these words are not interchangeable

FCC to declare AI-generated voices in robocalls illegal under existing law (arstechnica.com)

Robocalls with AI voices to be regulated under Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the agency says. I'm pretty sure this puts us on the timeline where we eventually get incredible, futuristic tech, but computers and robots still sound mechanical and fake.

Zuberi ,

There are more than 2 parties.

Zuberi ,

How do they donate the vote to "their opponent" when you agree there are more than one?

Zuberi ,

No notice for 20,000 layoffs? Oops, 2 weeks from... uh, 2 weeks ago.

The key is to dip after changing the password on the vital database they decided one person was enough to manage ;)

Zuberi ,

Believe it or not, nobody can make you work if you said you're done.

Zuberi ,

It's just my silly brain thoughhhh.

The password was like at least 8 characters and nobody wrote it down for me :(

Zuberi ,

you don’t get all of your benefits, you can never come back

This got a good lol out of me after the OG comment was about the military forcing a database techie to work the meat grinder.

so any HR will know how you left the second they see your discharge form.

Okay whew :)

Zuberi ,

Pretty wild they don't even vet the reference numbers.

You could put your own number and get away w/ this 99/100 times.

Zuberi ,

Very fun "both sides" argument about a potentially billion dollar company ;)

It appears lemmy.world and the midwest has found us.

Zuberi ,

It’s just my silly brain thoughhh :(

Zuberi ,

Honestly pretty wild how the LW bots will be this brazen on dumb/seemingly irrelevant topics.

How will we ever have any discussion unless there is at least one upvote-botted-boot-licker comment?

Zuberi ,

How ridiculous it is that they don't check (yes, even on the same page)

Zuberi OP ,

Good thing America doesn't have any monopolies under capitalism

Zuberi OP ,

Or just give people food. Where tf u bringing up cost of goods from?

Zuberi ,

The <= 2020 versions of Adobe products basically all still work on Linux as well :)

Some of the menus are buggy, but it works for 99/100 of my personal use cases (or I switch to a rinky-dink windows partition or VM)

Zuberi ,

(the car could be any of the hundreds of digitalized luxury cars, or a Tesla, sure)

Zuberi ,

Exactly.

These white-hats make pennies in comparison to a real team hired for this job (or a black-hat team using it for politicized reasons)

Zuberi ,
Zuberi ,

It's a good thing people don't leave their cars unattended ever.
