In CSV, you escape a double quote with a double quote.

jaybone ,

Five bees for a nickel.

jaybone ,

I think our instance defederated with hexbear.

jaybone ,

I’d say they are more common on Lemmy.ml than Lemmy.world

jaybone ,

The Canadian Rectangle Monolith Dicks are the worst. Go back to France with your maple cider and health care.

jaybone ,

HP has been running this scam since Gutenberg.

jaybone ,

Education is also optional there.

jaybone ,

Once I unsafe the dinosaur it has hard to see the dinosaur again. But then I forced myself to see the dinosaur and it was hard to see the person again. So this one is weird like that.

jaybone ,

Yeah because of this name you would instead say “my dog Kevin.”

jaybone ,

Soon they will replace them with robots writing on the wall.

jaybone ,

If the quote markdown was actually used properly, this is how Lemmy or Reddit would look.

jaybone ,

If not by cultural influences (like pop culture), how else would one develop their sexuality?

jaybone ,

They haven’t really invented anything big since gun powder.

And even gun powder, they didn’t know how to fully apply all of its potential.

jaybone ,

You can also use rifles for protection against animals and hunting. Or you trade / sell them to nations which do have conflict and military need.

jaybone ,

Insurance is required by your mortgage company.

If you try to use it, the insurance will try to fuck you.

jaybone ,

There was this math guy in the 90s, he wrote a manifesto. Did not end well for him.

jaybone ,

Zero looks like an angry man with a long mustache and goatee.

jaybone ,

They have to sell zero to a US owned company.

jaybone ,

This seems like it would be difficult for the visually impaired.

jaybone ,

You put foil on the knob when you have a date with a leftover pizza.

I love how the media has thrown around the word algorithm. They don’t need to sell their algorithm for a competitor to compete. An algorithm produces some result output. So you could easily clone an algorithm without knowing its exact implementation.

Maybe I know quicksort, but you know mergesort. The customer doesn’t give a fuck which algorithm was used, so long as it’s sorted.

jaybone ,

But that’s not really an algorithm.

jaybone ,

That was my original point. The media and hence business / management use this term (incorrectly)

They could just say IP, or platform, or service, or implementation. But I guess saying algorithm makes everyone sound smart.

jaybone ,

Plot twist: the FBI is the daemon that has the lock.

jaybone ,

This is the kind of dad that will backtrace you.

jaybone ,

Where do you live where they just got hot water?

jaybone ,

Quicksort is mainly for chocolate milk. Bubblesort works well with carbonated water.

jaybone ,

This makes me realize soon you will have to watch a video ad before your fridge will give you ice.

jaybone ,

It’s even more fun when your manager makes you do a presentation. And he schedules it at 10pm, so that all the people 12 timezones away can attend at their “morning time.”

But they don’t even bother to join the zoom. The only people attending are also in your timezone up way later than they want to be. And he’s like “it’s ok, we’ll record it for them.” Like wtf.

And then they go and do stupidass incorrect shit anyway, whether they watched the recording or not.

jaybone ,

By low level guys, you mean he knew about circuits and EE? But he got stuck teaching a C++ class but he couldn’t code?

jaybone ,

Once you are in the industry long enough, you won’t even remember how many different languages you have worked with.

A good education and experience should get you to the point where you are comfortable picking up and using any language, even if it is new to you.

jaybone ,

You’re not supposed to get drunk at the donations facility.

jaybone ,

IME it’s usually not a flex or a brag. It’s more like bitching or complaining.

jaybone ,

Maybe they just want to observe us. Like a form of anthropology. Like a nature show.

jaybone ,

Well they have a whole wall full of banned people pics.

jaybone ,

Yeah, I thought he was on the Nina or Pinta or Santa Maria or something like that.

jaybone ,

My eyes hurt trying to zoom in on the pixel.

What is the scale on the x axis?

jaybone ,

What do they mean from June? Are they going to retroactively charge people? Or they mean in the future, so people have time to cancel now.

jaybone ,

I’ve worked with humans, who have computer science degrees and 20 years of experience, and some of them have trouble writing good code and debugging issues, communicating properly, integrating with other teams / components.

I don’t see “AI” doing this. At least not these LLM models everyone is calling AI today.

Once we get to Data from Star Trek levels, then I can see it. But this is not that. This is not even close to that.
