This is the second time I've read about this specific reviewer having a sane perspective on way overhyped gadgets. Sounds worth checking out. I'm used to videos being completely worthless because they are usually trying to get product affiliate money and YouTube ad revenue at the same time.

I love the dumb little form factors those guys do. The only thing stopping me is that I know it is overhyped bullshit which I will be bored of in a week. If it were easy to develop my own software to completely replace what's on it I might be convinced.

Damn, same, nuked Traefik when v2 broke the setup I spent hours trying to figure out. I don't think the concepts are overwhelming, but something is profoundly wrong with their documentation habits. That's different, because of reasons. When someone dies within a communist system that is communism's fault. When someone dies in a capitalist system, that's their own fault for not tugging on those bootstraps.

TBF I do find that confusing. I'm used to human-readable conf files that persist across updates. But I can see how non-technical users might think understanding a collection of tricks is knowledge of their OS.

The dual booting problems are enraging. I somehow have the opposite problem, that it will always boot from the SD if the SD is present during power on. How hard is it to make an alternative boot method button?

I wish I had known this beforehand, I'm sure there are other SBCs with sane booting. I am never buying an Orange Pi again.

I hope so. From what I read, my problem is burnt in on some boot ROM, so it may not be fixable. I'm willing to try a different vendor using the same chip.

To your first point, yes, exactly. Congress mostly has to pass bills to exercise their power. For example: they have the authority to decide finances. They pass bills to (barely) get that done.
