I got the Tin T2s years ago and they've been my fav way to listen casually since then!

Full sized headphones unfortunately give me headaches but I remember the Fostex T50rps fondly, I was never brave enough to try modding my headphones but what you've done sounds awesome!

I used to collect headphones but I moved across the entire US a couple years ago and I couldn't bring my collection with me and the hobby's just too expensive to get back into for me right now lol. Sony MDR 7506s were my fav for a while, but I only had room for my fav earbuds and one pair of headphones in my luggage and I ended up grabbing my Tin T2s, T3s, and T4s; Moondrop Starfields; and House of Marley Liberate Air and House of Marley Exodus. Exodus being the full sized headphones I decided to keep. Not the best sounding for my taste but I like the way they look more than any other headphones I had and since I do most of my listening through IEMs I decided that was good enough lol

Thanks, yeah, I gave all the headphones I couldn't take with me away to friends, though, so they went to good homes :)

The 7506s did have very clean sound! That's my preference which is why i liked them so much :3

The Exodus' don't sound bad, they just have too much bass for my tastes but I'm pretty happy to eq it down in software. I just really like the wood look of them

one time in middle school i prayed for an xbox and a couple weeks later a boy who had a crush on me (but i didnt know that at the time) gave me his old original xbox and fable: tlc as he upgraded to a newer xbox. so ya religion is pretty nifty 😎

lol i honestly never thought about that

we went to a really small school (when i was in middle school there were like 15 students in the middle school and high school grades all combined, by the time i was in 12th there were 4 high school students all in different grades) so if i had to guess and give him the benefit of the doubt i'd guess that because we lived in such a small community and probably had a lot of mutual friends and connections, he probably just knew enough about me to know that i was into video games and my family was too poor to buy consoles/computers so i was still playing on a PS1 that my older siblings got for Christmas once while everyone else my age were on or moving to PS4 and (i think) Xbox One

in the apartment i grew up in, we lived on the top floor. the ceiling started leaking in the middle of the living room, there was some kind of attic space above us but tenants weren't allowed up there. we reported the leak and no one came. we reported it again a few weeks later and maintenance came in a couple days after that, sawed through the ceiling, poked his head up there, looked around, then "fixed it" by using a nail gun to nail a piece of office ceiling tile over the hole he sawed. we were told he'd come back in eventually to repair it properly. we figured that was the best we were going to get so we didn't complain anymore and it stayed that way for like 6 years. it wasn't until i got a little older and started dating that one of my bfs fixed it for us

literally during a conversation with Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ben Shapiro brought up trans people because of course he did i mean he seems obsessed with them, and while Neil's take on everything was generally a verbal shrug of the shoulders, paraphrasing: "Trans people exist and we should work to understand and accept them and we shouldn't legislate to restrict people's rights especially based on fear and made up nonsense" and Ben Shapiro smiled and said "Well if people want rights they should beat me in a debate" I'm sure he'd say he was joking but I'll probably never forget it, like wow Ben tell us how you really feel

I get headaches if I read white text on a dark background for too long, and my understanding is that about half of the population of the planet has astigmatism to some degree or other

i like the way dark mode looks but if i use it too long it gets physically painful in the form of headaches, i generally don't use apps that only have dark modes as a result, unless i can make a custom theme for it, then i will more often than not make a light theme for it. or i'll make a theme that automatically updates the colors based on what i choose in my system settings, which is something i've done for Lemmy and a few other things, but yeah

your friend sounds awesome lol, it sucks it's not potent growing wild, i actually only tried weed for the first time a few months ago, my first thought was growing it myself (cuz weed is expensive) but the most i've looked into was to see that growing it has a lot of dumb legal regulations, and it would probably not be easy to grow it where i currently live without being caught eventually (would totally do it if my apartment were bigger tho)

luckily the time investment isn't really an issue for me atm, i'm agoraphobic and a stay-at-home partner, i have a lot of time on my hands and i've always wanted a garden! lol

do you know if it's still expensive after the initial purchases of the lights and stuff? cuz other than space issues atm that would be my biggest limitation. since i'm agoraphobic i don't really get out much and my personal income is usually really limited, and my bf works regularly but he's not exactly wealthy lol. and same, in my state it can't be in view of public and you can't grow it if you live within 25 miles of a dispensary (which we do). i wouldn't really care about the regulations if i had space/money for it, though. my rule of thumb with stuff like this is that it's only illegal if i get caught! lol (for legal reasons this is a joke)
