When your father was a Nazi, you overthrew democratically elected governments in central and South America, and your son is a war criminal in the middle east.
And in between the last point, and the second to last point, your son overthrew a democratic election in his own country, using his brother's authority to become President.
Cheney just continued what he and Bush Sr. wanted to do. W was a puppet in their plan and he knows so now. He even has said he regrets some of the things he did. Dude isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
It was kind of the opposite. Bush Sr did the setup and the blowback landed on his son's administration...which then made it worse before they kicked the can further down the road.
