By comparing it to the original work.

baggins ,

How do you know anything about anything an LLM generates?
Presumably if you're the author you would recognize your own work?

baggins ,

If skipping is blocked in the ad, the client must know it's playing an ad somehow?

baggins ,

Yessssss my brain is soft like a boiled potatoe.

baggins ,

Wow congrats USA for doing something that makes sense before Canada.

Life Pro Tip: Register an LLC to buy your steam games under. The LLC will never die and you can transfer ownership of the business entity while it retains control of the steam account.

baggins ,

Disclaimer this was a joke I'm not a lawyer and I have no idea if this would actually work... 😆

What's happened with the Index? They're still selling it right now.

Yo I don't think this is true, there aren't that many real ones left.

baggins ,

I have used Windows since I was a child and I still need "documentation" to do routine things, because they hide stuff 8 levels deep inside an obscure settings window that requires an arcane ritual to access.

baggins ,

Imagine not having all your system settings in plain text files 😬

baggins ,

I right click in nautilus to open the properties window and check the checkbox :)

baggins ,

Sorry to embarrass you OP but it's actually spelled "hay." "Hey," is an informal greeting.

baggins ,

The self in this equation is you. You're driving your self around. Full self driving 😉

baggins ,

Debian also doesn’t come with a GUI package manager as far as I’m aware.

Of course it has one.

baggins ,

Red hat on a disc from a for dummies book at the library.

baggins ,

They should have made the confirmation be "unless I know what I am doing, this will break my system"

And Linus should have read more than one sentence of the scary warning.

baggins ,

What distros don't come with that? I'm running Debian and I get a notification on the desktop when I have updates available and it takes two clicks from that point to get them installed.

baggins ,

Windows would never show the user a wall of incomprehensible text with serious implications and expect them to just click yes!

Windows:

Linus was conditioned by Windows to just click "yes" on everything.

They pulled a corporate and rewrote an opensource project to embed it into windows

Yes sir I'm super pissed off how dare you do something goofy on the internet!

baggins ,

There's a certain store I go to that needs an employee almost every single time because the scales are insanely sensitive and lock you out immediately if they think it's wrong.

baggins ,

Have we finally found the first good right wing meme 😮

baggins ,

You don't have to reinstall the os just because grub broke 😕

baggins ,

Oh darn gotta empty out these jugs of bleach and ammonia

baggins ,

Price and quality issues aside- when I do go on Amazon it's because I want to buy from Amazon. Not some random business shipping stuff from the other side of the country. Can't stand how every store has a 'marketplace' of random overpriced AliExpress crap on their sites these days.

baggins ,

That's not a thing in Canada. Our motor vehicle standards require immobilizers.

baggins ,

Banning flipper is exactly that- doing nothing- because you can't actually use one to steal a car.

baggins ,

no

baggins ,

I get a bowl and crack it on the outside of the bowl (not the rim) then put it into the bowl to check for shells before it goes into wherever it needs to be.

baggins ,

I had an issue recently where they sent me the wrong item (it was coded wrong in their system- their fault) and when I contacted support they wanted me to either be at home for an entire day for them to pick up the item or have me take it to a drop off location for them, then wait for several weeks for the return to be processed.

baggins ,

That's cool and Imma let you finish but I'm not a mathematician and the answer is 9.
