Gets complicated when you have empathy for plants too. 👀

frankgrimeszz ,

They are as alive as the plants. But maybe mushrooms, like fruit, are intended to be eaten, to spread the spores. 👀 🍄

Then there’s the AI “feature” that takes a screenshot every second and definitely won’t be abused by Microsoft’s aggressive data collection.

In my recent experience, it recommends shitty blogs loaded with adverts and keywords. Most annoyingly, it always recommends Fandom’s Wiki above better alternative wiki sites. My DuckDuckGo experience has surprisingly been more useful.

That aside, my Brother laser printer is still working great. No complaints.

I’m no expert but this should be useful: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/duckduckgo-search-tricks-student/

I used to like it, but there was one incident where it fed me links to phishing sites. Like all the results were malicious. I suspect they had an internal breach or the session was somehow hijacked. That was years ago, but it made me wary. It’s usually okay.

The AUR was disabled by default on my install. I use flatpak for a lot of stuff so I’m probably pretty up to date with my most used programs. Where did you hear about this community donation scandal?

All the petty downvotes makes me think Lemmy has become a bit too much like Reddit. The whole “downvote everyone’s opinion that isn’t my opinion” is pathetic.

I don’t really care about what’s popular. With all my installed programs I use to get shit done, I can’t distro hop every other month like some people.

I wouldn’t have a problem with adverts if there was a guarantee of no malware, no phishing, no scams.

On YouTube, AI Musk has been telling me every other day about some amazing get rich quick scheme. I report it and days later YouTube emails me saying “Our investigation concluded that this is not a scam or spam”. As if.

Got the footlong 2-for-1 grinder deal. 🌯

Back in the CRT monitor days, I could see green even after I stopped playing.

I would also suggest “Daddy’s credit card”.

These political propaganda memes are getting out of control.

Since we’re talking communism, can’t I just use yours?
