Here is Google showing blatant malicious compliance to their own standards. "You want security notifications for payments made through your account? Have a side of ads with that". They've fallen real low since the days of "do no harm" 😞
It is there but almost as a quote... It's at the end and it just says "and remember, don't be evil!". It's not part of the actual code, so I guess it's just for show and nostalgia.
It's literally there as it was previously. They removed it at the start to say "do the right thing" instead, but don't be evil is there too. It was a drummed up controversy over nothing.
There's an app, and I'm sure others like it, called Tidy Panel that lets you block notifications based on the content they have. The free version let's you block a handful, but you need premium for unlimited. For you, the free might be enough.
Yeah that’s horrible. I have a strict policy of turning off any notification that is not a direct message from a person to me or a reminder I set myself. If crap gets bundled like this, I turn it off altogether.
When I used Tinder, I just checked the app every now and then and I remember people unmatching me again because I didn’t reply quickly enough. Online dating is so fucking toxic.
I think you can click it and choose from within it. Normally on android, when there is a switch with a line next to it, that means it's clickable and has more options.
generally when a magazine does not exist on a server you search for @ magazinename @ instance.tld without the spaces. There is a good chance that the server requires you to be logged in when pulling in a new magazine. If the magazine already exists you should go to the "Magazines" tab and search for the magazine there
I've had a couple of good experiences with budget ANC buds, I used scarbir.com for his budget reviews, especially like that he assesses their phone call quality.
Do you want to just block all sound or do you want the extra features that come with active noise cancellation headphones like speech passthrough? What you are proposing doesn't exist because it makes no sense, active noise cancellation is done by recording the audio outside the headphone, inverting the amplitude and attempting to align the phase to cancel it out in real time.
In reality active noise cancellation only works for more or less constant sounds below 1000Hz, anything higher than that and the headphones block exactly as much noise as any other pair of sealed headphones.
You will get better noise reduction with IEMs than headphones, deep insertion headphones like Etymotic beat the pants off Bose for noise isolation at every frequency, are cheaper, and as a plus sound better than any noise cancelling set you can buy.
