That's a very common thing. I don't know a single company or organization that prevents executables from running. You don't have to install programs to use them, it's just that most software ships installers

I think YouTube will eventually end up destroying itself. It's not a profitable business model to just run some ads. The amount of storage, bandwidth, and processing power a video host requires is massive.

The pull-out "method" is when a person pulls their penis out of a vagina before they ejaculate. It's not effective because you can't be sure you've timed it right and some sperm can still escape before ejacualtion. It's a shitty "method". Don't use it like the idiot above.

Ten year old laptop is 2013 (this post seems to be from 2023). That's really not old at all. I use a 17 year old machine and it works great for basic tasks.

I can run KDE just fine on a ThinkPad T61 from 2007

It depends on how good it was to start with. I have a machine from 2006 that is usable for daily tasks. I also have a netbook from 2009 that can barely do anything.

It's a ThinkPad T61 running Gentoo. I upgraded it to 4GB of RAM and an SSD. Works fine with 10 browser tabs and youtube

Gnome isn't really bloated either. I've seen people run Gnome on a T400 (2008)

Do you share music on p2p services or do you just have a personal collection? The reason people don't like seperate artist folder is because when sharing the folder it won't include the artist name.

This. And it doesn't only apply to companies. I have a personal blog with a couple accessibility issues that I haven't bothered to fix because I've built a lot of my CSS around my bad HTML. Part of the issue is that I built my site as a school project for a web design class I was taking, so code quality wasn't great. One day I might redesign it better, but I don't have the energy for now.
