    How one defines "biological sex" is important, there could be a definition which is immutable, and there is an equally valid definition that is entirely mutable, but sex like all of nature is on a spectrum and any definition will have edge cases and should only be used as a description not a prescription.

    Nope, he's playing with original hardware, the screen shot is a reference to what was a speed running bounty. There was a streamer playing that part of Super Mario 64 and he glitched straight up, if it could be repeated it would be a great time save for speed running. After years of investigation the community decided that it was caused by a bit flip probably caused by cosmic radiation. You can't get that bit flip on an emulator.

    Magic as in street magician, not magic as in wizard. Lots of the things that people claim AI can do are like a magic show, it's amazing if you look at it from the right angle, and with the right skill you can hide the strings holding it up, but if you try to use it in the real world it falls apart.

    Are there any genuine benefits to AI?

    I can see some minor benefits - I use it for the odd bit of mundane writing and some of the image creation stuff is interesting,, and I knew that a lot of people use it for coding etc - but mostly it seems to be about making more cash for corporations and stuffing the internet with bots and fake content. Am I missing something...

    This does raise further ethical/economical issues though, as most people in these creative industries actually require income from this boring work to get by.

    That sounds more like a problem with capitalism than AI.

    Good cops can only exist until they come in contact with a bastard cop.

    When a police officer beats someone to death or shoots an unarmed motorist or steals drugs from the evidence room, there is often at least one witness: Another cop

    At that point the good cop either becomes complisit in the cover up and is no longer a good cop, or they report it in which case they will be excluded, fired, harassed, sent to dangerous situations without backup, or die under unusual circumstances.
