And don't produce enough energy?

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

What's wrong with nuclear waste? Is it radioactive or something? Like the original uranium we got out of the ground?

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Well, there's only 3, and they're all friends, sooo

On the plus side, the employees got charged

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Lmao the murican propaganda worked wonders on this guy

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Apart from the dozens of scrape bots that already stole them?

You're supposed to revoke API keys that are leaked. Not try to "unleak" them

OsrsNeedsF2P , (edited )

She's extremely picky and refused to let me order anything but pizza.

Lol, with attitude like that she'll be a delightful adult

Edit: I'll accept these downvotes. So far all the replies have been "well I let my kid do whatever they want, whatcouldgowrong.jpg"

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

What am I looking at (besides a generic neofetch on hardware that can't load Google.com)

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

I mean... Sounds like the parent is doing the right thing (being interested in their kid's sport) but for the wrong reason?

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Clearly, someone was not thinking of the children

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Blows my mind that to this day, companies don't realize it's a service issue. Like it's straight up regressed. Adobe and Microsoft used to encourage piracy to help their bottom line. Now you have stupid PMs who realize they can get a good performance review by talking about how much money they'll make/save from doing stuff like this

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

no company would accept that.

Except for a company that understands going after these people won't benefit them?

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Regarding the charges,

“[The evidence] just wasn't there. It's heartbreaking and it's unsatisfactory but it is where we are at right now,” she said to ABC15 in November after she told victims she wouldn’t file felony charges. “It's a collision where we cannot show with the evidence that there was a conscious disregard of a risk that this individual made.”

Why is it that someone can run into over a dozen cyclists, killing some, but also not have made a "conscious disregard of risk"? If it's true that the driver was not consciously disregarding risk, but we still got this outcome, it's absolutely true that the process for obtaining a permit for his vehicle and/or speeds is way too lenient.

OsrsNeedsF2P OP ,

We moved from GitHub to Gitlab and the rate at which new contributors found the project effectively halved. We had a Matrix at some point and one person used it. The reality is you have to pick your battles.

OsrsNeedsF2P OP ,

We also have forum.2009scape.org, which is open source. Any questions people have are only answered here, for the explicit purpose of better searchability of answers.

(But people hate registering on new sites)

Trust me, I know what you're saying. We did our best, but ended up deciding to focus on the project, rather than a larger movement as a whole

OsrsNeedsF2P OP ,

We do, but people don't come over. It's a service issue; if the goal is maximize contributors, you need to minimize friction. A mirror minimizes friction, but it's still a significant step over "just being on Github":

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

No. For all the memes and fake nonsense, LLMs still give access to a swath of knowledge at a degree easier to access. The current kids using LLMs for questions are probably going to be quite a bit smarter than us

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

We don't have to wait until it's "fully confirmed" to start being concerned about it. Remember climate change denial? We were in the "we don't know if humans are causing it" phase for a while.

I also agree, let's not jump on the anti-Musk team for this, but satellites burning up has always been a rather obvious source of pollution, and it's good to see more discussion on it

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Can't tell if this is sarcasm, orr

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

I just can't understand why it's up to the husband to say no divorce while he cheats? Like what position of power does he have?

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Garbage article. Headline interprets like Microsoft slipped or leaked something. The article discusses why the "pros" are actually "cons".

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

He posted online, telling his friends it was time to say goodbye. Then his friend called him up, saying he had an opportunity at his company Eternos.Life for Bommer to build an interactive AI version of himself.

It doesn't get more tech bro than that

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

I love sending these really stupid memes to my girlfriend. I think she thinks I have brain rot. Please share more if you have them!

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

I love how Apple is flying under the radar, doing effectively the same thing, because they used the word "Private" in every heading and server name

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

How are they going to identify who is opting out without being able to match it to the person in the seat..?

OsrsNeedsF2P , (edited )

You'll have the icon on your taskbar if it is. You can also hit Meta+J to check

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

The damage is mitigated by the fact it only recalls last 3 days by default

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Seoul's conservative mayor Oh Se-hoon has said he "personally can't agree with homosexuality", but municipal authorities blamed a scheduling conflict and said the venue had already been reserved for an outdoor event themed around books.

It's so funny, because each year there's a scheduling conflict

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Switched to Firefox at work today. Looks like I still need Chrome to do the VPN handshake, but the more of us there are, the more pressure we have on IT!

A Ticketmaster hack spilled sensitive data for 560 million customers, hackers say (qz.com)

ShinyHunters posted on Tuesday night in a hacking forum that it obtained data from Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation, including customers’ names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, and order details, Cyber Daily wrote. The group is reportedly attempting to sell the stolen data for $500 million....

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Proof they don't care:

The company’s share price remained relatively flat following reports of its massive data leak.

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

I love that you ride one! Stay safe ❤️

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Such a shame those sleeping trucks get scratches on them :/

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

KDE on Arch + Nvidia Wayland was a buggy experience for me a few months ago. But honestly, even X11 on Intel integrated graphics gets a few buggy releases every couple months.

I still love KDE though. Way better than MacOS

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Did their old Steam Machine not use Gnome? (Or was it just Debian that it was based on?)

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

No one's saying don't buy Samsung. I noticed your list of requirements didn't include great repairability, which this article and comments are about

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

I mean, you don't hear about the investigations where they find nothing of interest

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Tl;dr it's the same factory but with a 6x6 outdoor pen that most chickens never even see in their life

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

If someone is willing to work for less and put up with more, that's not ageism (as far as the law is concerned). Ageism is when the employer selects a younger person over an older person, due to their age, when both applicants agreed to work for and put up with the same amount

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Unreal is heavy, and while you can make games without any coding knowledge, it's more for super fancy 3D games.

Unity and Godot are a bit simpler and more casual. Unity is ripe with issues and Godot is a little more immature. I would recommend Godot if you care about open source/community vibes, or Unity if you want more powerful features.

I wish there were better 2D or 2.5D dedicated engines, since imo most games don't require 3D to be cool, but I don't personally know any good ones (RIP Flash)

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

It actually looks really cool. I ran Lineage for a while and it was great, but I do enjoy projects that don't fully degoogle as well and give a more "modded" experience

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

If you contact the .org registry they'll take it down. .org is for non-profits

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

The people who maintain .org enforce it

1000+ Firefox for Android extensions now available – Mozilla Add-ons Community Blog (blog.mozilla.org)

The new open ecosystem of extensions on Firefox for Android launched in December with just over 400 extensions. Less than five months later we’ve surpassed 1,000 Firefox for Android extensions. That’s an impressive achievement by this developer community! It’s exciting to see so many developers embrace the opportunity to...

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

The UI for playing ads and paying for music sure is great!

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

More like "Joanne got a promotion for integrating X!", followed by "Mike got a promotion by saving the company 2M/year!"

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Is it neutral? Nintendo integrating with X both advertises X and Nintendo

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Lmao you're right. Removed the first part. It came to look like an ad because I posted my first thought, then came back with my second one and appended it.

As far as the password goes, to this day I have no idea how it happened. I don't want to admit I use the same password for everything, but ye know.. it just stopped working for Proton one day.
