I am a travel and outdoors enthusiast, I love being outside and experiencing a new city or the wilderness, but also, phones are powerful technology that allow us to find directions or look up where to go.

The real issue isn't that we are using it, it's that they are being used to collect and sell our data for advertising, that algorithms are designed to keep us on our phone instead of experiencing the world.

It's boomer shit to post this meme and be like, society bad, people on phones.

I tried tidal for a bit, but ran into a number of issues with the various privacy methods I used and the lack of a Linux native client made it difficult to justify staying.

I've seen multiple instances of driving being mad that they are in traffic while bikes or buses zoom by.

If they weren't so infected with car brain, the easiest solution is to leverage one or both of those transportation methods that zoom by you.

I would recommend upping your media literacy as it helps you distinguish between spin and not spin.

There is more to it than that. You may be able to be trained in a few hours, but mastery and efficiency come with time. Someone who works in retail or farming can output more productivity in a shorter amount of time than an average person. It's not about how long it takes to train someone to start the job, it's the mastery you learn over time. As you do a job longer, your productivity increases, as you move deeper and develop more skill at the job.
